At first glance, for a split second, I thought the tall trees weren't trees but tall wind spinners, very fast realized they weren't. I guess the look of them in the first/outside photo and the title about windy day made me see what I wanted too.
There is a park in my state of NC that is called a whirligig park. I am going to drop the link here in case it would be entertaining to you. A man made huge whirligigs in his yard as a hobby and before he died (if I remember the story right) he worked it out some that the city? bought them and promised to put them up in a common area and keep them maintained for everyone to enjoy. I haven't been there, but I sure would love to go see them with my own eyes.
