Buckthorn, crystals, and paint

I finally got some paint and decent brushes for my buckthorn army of various thingys.
I've had several waves of obsessive painting in my life, but I had always painted on flat surfaces. Now, I get to paint 3 dimensional stuff. My method of painting is very chaotic, and I think it will work well with my little statues and various things.
I'm always trying new colors on things, and I'm sure these guys will have around 20 different layers before I stop fucking with them:)

The creepy cat and the other creepy cat are such a cute couple!

My friend requested some hex-shaped nunchucks. He wants to sand and finish them himself and bring them back for stringing, so I made these.
They are not made of mighty Buckthorn, they are made of Elm that was headed for a firepit.

The end of the Elm had a cool shape to it, so it will probably be my next Bird-Monster.

May this month bring us something nice:D

the statue you made is very good and the paint is also suitable for your statue, success always for you😍👍

Isn't it fun to move into new ways of creating, I too mainly paint/work 2d and have always wanted to try 3 d bit, other then the bits and bobs I did at art school eons ago. That cat is adorable :) @tartobyfergus

It is really fun to try something new. I feel like I am always learning about a new medium and never really mastering any of them. On the plus side, it never gets old.
