...you just kind of get used to it...and it becomes second nature.

Almost want to say I can relate, but I can't 😅. But I definitely hear the stories from documentaries and other mainstream media. Of course, some are over dramatized but still.

Surely though you guys have that same kind of...awareness..or need to be aware sitting in the back of your mind too though?

I mean you guys have some pretty dangerous animals and nature over there too don't you....

Yeah definitely hihi, especially when swimming in the rivers with piranha. My cousin her father used to have a place near one of those rivers and we used to vacation there regularly, but the beach doesn't have nets, so I was always scared to swim there. I've made it a habit to swim near where I can still see my feet and legs. I haven't been bitten there in that specific spot, but know some friends of the family who have, so we haven't used the place for some time now.

And since we bought swimming shoes for the beaches in Curacao, I keep using those whenever I go swimming. It'll be my first defense I hope 😅.

Yeah we should have those shoes here too for our beaches because of some of the very poisonous marine animals..having a major seniors moment- (read birthday hangover) so can't remember what they are called. Oh yes I do- Stonefish...der..haaaa 🤣

Hahaha no worries, understandable.

Oh yes I do- Stonefish...der..haaaa 🤣

Definitely looked that one up. Ah those, yes shoes are definitely helping against those.
Are those helpful with stingrays though? I don't really think so 🙈, but one can hope.

Which only proves that expensive does not necessarily make good.
