Do you think asking to pay fee for playing with splinterlands cards are betrayal with the investors?

Splinterlands has made it compulsory for the players to buy 40 vouchers for contesting in wild format of the game. In the wild format Alpha, Beta etc. edition cards can be used. Now they have become useless unless you pay the fee to play.
When we purchased these cards there was no condition attached with them that someday it will need a fee to play with those cards. Now they have become useless as paying fee is not at all profitable. So, it is the act of betrayal with the investors and players. This is being done in the blockchain format which is considered decentralized
So, are you against it or not?

- Being the owner of the company, splinterlands have every right to do whatever it likes.
