What Do We Do With SIM?
The INDEX token has been a huge success so far :)
We're so pleased with how it's grown and in 2021 we will continue to add more tokens to the INDEX and increase our rewards to all token holders.
We've come across a small problem, that we think you'll agree...Is a good one to have!
The INDEX Token currently holds over 1.5 million SIM tokens.
And we're getting about 3 Hive per day as interest payments on it. We have not touched it because we wanted to present this to you, and put a poll out there....
What should we do with these SIM tokens?
We've got a few options, and remember, 80% of all rewards we earn from the daily HIVE payouts and a potential city SIM income....Is paid to token holders.
We can use all the SIM generate or part of it to build a city. This would allow INDEX holders to receive daily SIM rewards as dividend payments. And the city would simply reinvest all SIM into the city to help it grow.
We can also do this plus invest the HIVE generated from holding SIM back into the city to help it grow quicker.
Or we can continue to hold the entire SIM tokens in INDEX and simply receive the HIVE payments everyday.
Each of these options would pay out 80% of all rewards, from HIVE, SIM or both daily to token holders....
So...What should we do ?

- Use 75% of SIM to create city & pay dividends + grow HIVE income
- Use 50% of SIM to create city & pay dividends + grow HIVE income
- Keep SIM in INDEX and only grow HIVE income
- Use 100% of SIM to create city + invest HIVE to build city

Does the INDEX pricing get messed up if the SIM holdings shrink when spent on cards? Or would you account for market prices of the cards in the rebalancing?

I absolutely agree with this. Let's make it to the top. That way not only do INDEX receive SIM but also HIVE for remaining in top 400.

If I did have a say however lol It would be 50% of Sim to create city and pay dividends + grow hive income. at 1.5million you have plenty to grow and get the best of both worlds.

First yes I hold index tokens I think I am #17 on the rich list. Second as you play d-city along with a few others that hold Index tokens I will go with what you folks have to say as you know d-city and which would make us more in the long run. As most who invest in the index are here for the long run I would vote for which way would get us the best return in the long run.

only on the premises that out of all the options presented this one gives the best ROI. Lets think why people want to invest in INDEX in the first place? To make as much profit out of all the different tokens that are on the hive ecosystem. Since dCity is the most profitable why earn as much as INDEX can and redeploy the earnings into other tokens if and when dCity is beaten.

I think I'll go with using 50% of Sim to create city. You don't have to go all in, this will bring about balance on choices that can be made better.
You can also look into other choices and apply them for a period of time to know which strategy will be the most effective one to choose

I would use the purchased SIM to build the city and pay all the daily incomes as dividends.

I like the second option. I think growing your city to the proper income level is only going to benefit everyone in the long run. I will jump over to dpoll and cast my vote.
