In the last volume we commented on the importance of audiovisual pre-production, how this allowed us to be more effective at the time of shooting. In this opportunity we will make more emphasis on the Production and Filming process, what elements and professionals are involved; we know that each phase has its particular characteristics. In this way it is possible to put into action more effectively at the time of recording our own videos. Nowadays, with the rise of social networks, many tools are offered that make things easier for us, thousands of people make their own content according to their interests, however, it is vital to know the basics to be able to solve creative ideas effectively.

En el volumen pasado se comentaba sobre la importancia de la preproducción audiovisual, como esta nos permitía tener más efectividad al momento del rodaje. En esta oportunidad haremos más énfasis en el proceso de Producción y Rodaje, que elementos y profesionales se involucran; sabemos que cada fase tiene sus características particulares. De esta manera es posible ponerse en acción con mayor eficacia al momento de grabar nuestros videos propios. Hoy en día, con el auge de las redes sociales, se ofrecen muchas herramientas que nos facilitan las cosas, miles de personas realizan sus propios contenidos de acuerdo a sus intereses, sin embargo, es de vital importancia conocer los fundamentos para poder resolver las ideas creativas de manera efectiva.

There are different types of audiovisual production, however, the management in each of its phases is practically the same for all of them. The Production and Shooting phase is nothing more than developing everything we thought of during the Pre-production process. We record everything necessary in order to complete the whole idea and realize what we thought, it is possible that some recordings must be repeated to achieve a better quality in the production. The guide we made with the storyboard will be very useful at this time, this way we will not skip anything and we will take the process step by step with a clear and defined picture of the tasks.

Existen diferentes tipos de producción audiovisual, a pesar de ello, la gestión en cada una de sus fases es prácticamente lo mismo para todas. La fase de Producción y Rodaje no es más que desarrollar todo lo que pensamos durante el proceso de Preproducción. Grabamos todo lo necesario con el fin de completar toda la idea y hacer realidad lo que pensamos, es posible que se deben repetir algunas grabaciones para lograr una mejor calidad en la producción. La guía que realizamos con el storyboard será muy útil en este momento, de esta manera no se nos saltará nada y llevaremos el proceso paso a paso con un panorama claro y definido en las tareas.

Creating a shooting plan will require a lot of organization to optimize time; all the details will be grouped in this plan; recording time, lighting personnel, locations, equipment, props, among others. Usually, when we create our own content we don't hire anyone, we do absolutely everything ourselves. Similarly, writing a plan will help us, since we can develop everything step by step. This phase requires a lot of care, there are so many details and so many things to be aware of. We have to do everything, the role of general and executive producer, director, cameraman, art and photography, be our own assistant, even leave everything ready and press the record button and run to play the role of actor.

Elaborar un plan de Rodaje será de mucha organización para optimizar el tiempo; todos los detalles estarán agrupados en este plan; hora de grabación, personal de iluminación, locaciones, equipos, utilería, entre otros. Por lo regular, cuando creamos nuestro propio contenido no contratamos a nadie, nos toca a nosotros mismo hacer absolutamente todo. De igual manera, escribir un plan nos será de ayuda, dado que podemos ir desarrollando todo paso a paso. Esta fase amerita de mucho cuidado, son muchos los detalles por todas las cosas de las que debemos estar atento. Nos toca hacer de todo, el papel de productor general y ejecutivo, director, camarógrafo, arte y fotografía, ser nuestro propio asistente, incluso dejar todo preparado y accionar el botón de grabar y correr para hacer el papel de actor.

As we progress in the shooting, we record the work done until the daily guideline is completed. The day closes with the visualization of the material and with the preparation for the next day, this is repeated until all the details of our shooting plan are finalized. Many, in their shooting plan, include the assembly and disassembly of the location, especially if the production requires a special decoration. In this phase of the audiovisual production is where most of the overall budget is estimated, however, it is relative, it varies a lot depending on the audiovisual production we intend to develop.

En la medida que vayamos avanzando en el rodaje vamos registrando el trabajo realizado hasta culminar la pauta diaria. La jornada cierra con la visualización del material y con la preparación del día siguiente, esto se repite hasta finalizar todos los detalles de nuestro plan de rodaje. Muchos, en su plan de rodaje, incluyen el montaje y desarme de la locación, sobre todo si la producción requiere de una decoración especial. En esta fase de la producción audiovisual es donde se estima la mayor parte del presupuesto general, sin embargo, es relativo, muy variar mucho según la producción audiovisual que pretendemos desarrollar.

It is important to note that this phase of the production is the one that undergoes many changes, since there are many areas that are developed in parallel. It is also of great importance to remain firm in what you want to show in the video, that everything is very well aligned with the idea proposed. This ensures that the audiovisual material adequately shows the visual narrative. If we are not experts in the material, it is advisable to start doing very simple things to gain confidence and understand the dynamics of everything. Each element that is incorporated to our production implies a management that we must take into account. Remember that what is established here does not have to be followed in a square way, neither do you stay alone with this information. Es importante destacar que esta fase de la producción es la que llega a sufrir muchos cambios, ya hay muchas áreas que se desarrollan en paralelo. También es de gran relevancia mantenerse firme en lo que se desea mostrar en el video, que todo este muy bien alineado con la idea planteada. De esta manera se garantiza que el material audiovisual muestre adecuadamente la narrativa visual. Si no estamos muy expertos en la material, es recomendable que empecemos haciendo cosas muy sencillas para ir tomando confianza y entendiendo la dinámica de cada cosa. Por cada elemento que se incorpore a nuestra producción implica una gestión que debemos tomar en cuanta. Recuerda que es que lo se establece acá no tienes que seguirlo de forma cuadrado, tampoco te quedes solo con esta información. La invitación es a seguir preparándote y vivir muchas experiencias.
