A Temporary 35mm Funeral | Monomad Challenge

in Black And White2 months ago

So after being on a roll for a few weeks here on HIVE, I suddenly can't find the time to write new posts. Got myself a nice pile of things to do all of a sudden. I'm re-building my own website while moving it to a new platform, editing a video for the owner of the co-living place I stay at, and also trying to find some freelance work for myself, which proves to be somewhat difficult.

But I really wanted to find some time to write this one, and unfortunately dedicate it to my first film camera, my Nikkormat N-ftn, as it finally decided last week to stop working.

It's not really unusable, as the part that's probably causing the problem is definitely fixable - but here in Cyprus, without any means to test it reliably (because there are no dev labs around here, as I mentioned before), I've got nothing to do about it. And so, it seems my transition to digital photography (that I spoke about here), now more than ever - proves itself to be my only option for the moment.

It has served me beautifully for the past 2 years, and it might do so again, sometime in the future. I've added here some of my favorite photos I took with it, and pray that these grieving days would pass without much pain.
