RE: My calendula ointment is done! / カレンデュラの軟膏ができました

Ja it was so nice. First I prepared dried calendula petals (I used organic tea this time) and soaked them in oil for about a month. I warmed up the oil and mixed it with bee wax. Then it's done!

It's great that your grandma taught it to you. I'm happy to hand down the technique to my grand daughter in the future 😊

Thank you, i will try that method this year too. Mine is very simple: Collect fresh petals / flowers (My grandma took the flowers but you can even use the whole plant), heat up lard and wait until it's still liquid but not so hot anymore as to not fry the petals. Stir them under and let it cool over night (or 3), warm up until liquid again then sieve out the plants. Voilà!
Beewax however and soaking in oil slowly for a month sounds very natural to me, going to try that method. What kind of oil did you take?

That's quick! I think mine takes more when I include the process of drying flower. I used olive oil this time following the instructor's recommentation. I may try with Argan oil if it's available :)
