Hello Everyone ,
This lingzhi mushroom can be harvested. About 3 weeks ago I have been preparing to be harvested. One of the countries that is easy to find this type of fungus is in Asia. Lingzhi is a herbal medicine until now, many people believe and can prevent certain diseases.
In my garden have grown many types of these mushrooms. Some of them are still fresh and some are rotten. Previously, I thought it was a fungus that killed anyone who consumed it. After I looked for references and read several articles, it turned out that this type of mushroom has many benefits for humans.
In the near future I will make these mushrooms dry so they can be processed to make tea. It's not difficult, it just takes a way to make. I have to dry the mushrooms so they can survive when stored in a good place and temperature.
The specific applications and attributed health benefits of lingzhi include :
- Control of blood glucose levels
- Modulation of the immune system
- Hepatoprotection
- Bacteriostasis, and more.
Lingzhi has been recognized as a medicinal mushroom for over 2000 years, and its powerful effects have been documented in ancient scripts (Wasser 2005). Source: ncbi.nlm.

If you find a soft fresh one some people actually cook and eat the slices in small amounts. They don't taste that great but if you spice them they can be a nice medicinal meal.
Thank you brother @sketch.and.jam . I've never make a dish. I think it's just for traditional herbs. Have you ever made dishes from lingzhi mushrooms?
Here is one way to make use of them as tea or fruit juice

Another way is as soup

Reishi are too bitter to eat by themselves so they have to be masked by sweetness or spice.
Yehiiiii.... Thank you very much brother. I will make mushroom soup. it was so delicious.. how about the mushroom soup challenge? Lol
Yeah usually medicinals like Reishi and Turkeytail are best used in soup, I also like wood ear in soup. I also use reishi powder in hot chocolate drinks because the chocolate masks its sort of bitter taste.
😍😍😍 What if reishi tea is mixed with honey?
Yeah it needs honey and the bitter taste really isn't that bad by itself in my opinion it goes well with a black tea of some kind too.
Amazing!
Thank you @lespecial17
How do you prepare them as medicine? Lovely photos, and how lucky you are to have them in your garden.
Hi @riverflows . Thank you very much. I was inspired by mushrooms. Here is very much plant and I think this is the opportunity to return traditional ways. I once read a blog that Lingzhi mushrooms are very good for treatment in certain diseases.
