These days, I have been so occupied by invitations for parties, gatherings and meet-ups. As much as I want to accommodate everyone and grace them with my presence, I sometimes have to decline because my social energy tends to be compromised if I force myself to get out of the house.

Staying at home give me a lot of time for myself, spending time with my dog, working out and doing yoga. While practicing, I remembered about the post I made a couple of months ago about MY FAVORITE YOGA POSES PT 1 and it's about time to post the Part Two.

Check this out.Most of these poses were practiced during my days in Dauin, Negros Oriental. By the way, my good friend @tanawabai posted a worthy-to-read blog about Anahaw.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying that someone should have favorite poses in practicing yoga. This list of poses are considered my favorite because it makes me proud to execute it well and it took a lot of practice and patience for me to achieve it.
VRIKSHASANA or MOUNTAIN POSE
This pose is probably one of the most common poses a yogi can do. You might also saw even non-yogis do this pose because it looks simple to do. To do this pose, plant one of your leg to the mat or ground, lift your other leg and put the sole of your foot in your thigh, if the thigh is too high, you can land the sole of your foot under the knee. Then slowly raise your arms to a prayer position either on your chest or above your head.


MARICHYASANA A
This pose is actually a part of Ashtanga Primary Series. Marichyasana has B, C and D but in recent years it extended to E, F, G and H. To be honest, I'm only until C and I have a hard time already perfecting that pose. Marichyasana A is a bending pose where you bend your one knee to your chest then wrap around your arms to your back.




ARDHA BADDHA PADMOTTANASANA or HALF BOUND LOTUS STANDING FORWARD POSE
This is a bending and balancing pose. Stand on one leg, place your foot near your pelvic bone and wrap the opposite arm at the back and reach the foot. Then, slowly fold your body to the ground. Use your other hand to stay balance.


VIRABHADRASANA or WARRIOR 1
If you practice yoga or know anyone who does yoga, you probably saw them doing this pose. It's one of the simplest poses out there but don't under estimate the Warrior 1. If you don't align your foot or bend your knees enough, you want reap the benefits of this pose.


SIRSASANA or HEADSTAND
Okay, okay I know you might say "OMG, that's amazing." But honestly, being able to do a headstand doesn't make anyone a better yogi from anyone. Sometimes, people make these very difficult poses as a way to validate their yoga journey but it's not. Anyways, this pose took my almost a year to achieve. Arm and core strength are necessary to get to this pose. Explaining it is kind of difficult because there are different techniques.


Lately, I don't have a set day or time to practice yoga. I don't want to force myself practicing for the sake of practicing. I know that I need it but I have to listen to my body. Back when I was still doing yoga, my favorite pose was the VIRABHADRASANA or WARRIOR 1
I love stretching my calves and arms. But these poses were not easy at all. I keep losing balance after a few seconds. lol 😂

I love talking to people who practice Yoga. They carry a certain healthy and gentle energy. Physical vitality cannot be faulted. I got back pain pretty early on and at some point I'll learn and practice it. A lot of people have advised me to practice Yoga, because now I use climbing as a priority
