With the good, good, my beautiful people!

Back in this beautiful community of @naturalmedicine. I was absent for reasons beyond my control that are not worth mentioning, the important thing is that I am here and I want to resume my journey with you...
Higuera salt and its uses

A few days ago, while shopping at the supermarket, I came across a section of spice sachets. In that space I saw everything: cinnamon, cumin, chamomile, pepper, cumin and suddenly I saw one called Sal de Higuera. I recognized the first ones, but not this one.

To get out of my ignorance, I asked the people behind me and nobody satisfied my concern. Moved by my curiosity in a moment of rest, I investigate through the net and discover that this one, is not more than Sal de Epson and that it also received that name.

Bingo! I knew her by that name, but I didn't know she had so many properties. Once, I heard it was used as a laxative. So I decided to put out a publication on this multi-faceted salt.

Let's get started!

Higuera Salt or Epson Salt is

is a chemical compound containing magnesium, and whose formula is Mg SO4-7H2O. Non-hydrated magnesium sulphate MgSO4 is very rare and is used in industry as a drying agent. Source

This one was created in Epson, England. It looks very much like salt, in fact when my mother saw it she was surprised and said with some trepidation, "Now they sell salt in little bags! It's just that in Venezuela you are seeing some amazing things!

This salt has different uses: agricultural, industrial and medicinal and it is on the latter that I want to focus.

Medicinal Uses of Epson's Salt

Reviewing here and there I discovered that this salt, very similar to common salt, has many uses that make us consider finding a space for it within our pantry.

It has properties that promote the relaxation of our body, especially if we have muscular ailments. Recently, my mother complained of foot ailments and in a large bowl I poured warm water and put a good amount of this salt and that mitigated her discomfort a bit.

Personally, when I have felt discomfort in my legs and feet because of the long walks to my workplace, if I have some of this salt at hand, I immerse them in this solution (warm water and fig salt) and I feel relief and take advantage of it to try to relax for a few minutes.

I say goodbye, not without first telling them that each organism is different and what may be good for me, may not be good for others. The ideal is to go little by little, trying and seeing our reactions. Another thing before I go, after diving into these waters, use a moisturizer to protect your skin. I've done very well and I hope you have too.

If you know other uses for this salt, leave it in the comment box, I'd love to share it with you.
