I love this post! What beautiful images and "wild" ideas - in my childhood on a farm in the Midwest, all this herbal lore had been lost. We killed all these "weeds" or left the leaves on the trees, the clover for the cows.
I'm about to try corn silk tea, just because. Not at all excited to try it. I'm fond of a mango/ginger tea, stocking up when it's on sale, $4 for 16 prepackaged teabags. Bulk tea is hard to find. (And messy, if want to avoid tea leaves down your drain).
Yogi Mango Ginger tea is a zesty, spiced blend that combines Ginger, used for centuries by Ayurveda practitioners to support digestion, with delectable Mango. antioxidant-supplying Rooibos, and traditional warming spices including Cinnamon and Cardamom.

I've tried other ginger teas, and even tried slicing fresh ginger root (from the Asian or Indian stores) for tea, but I'm a slave to convenience. Much as I hate the stadium full of packaging to recycle (every trip to the landfill, I see the consequences of convenience), I keep buying boxed teas and supplements in plastic bottles.
To combat climate change, we all ought to cut back on bottled or canned beverages, tins of veggies, plastic bags of rice - but the burlap and cotton bags (and gunny sacks) of my mom's era are long gone.
Sorry. I digress! You are clearly on the right track. Thank you for this post, @alexanderfarm.
Ah thank you @carolkean! I love it! I agree, so much of this is lost to convenience. I'm learning right along side everyone else. Thank you for reading my post and leaving this lovely comment! 😊
