My house is the perfect size for the boys and I and I am so grateful for our special home. The person I bought this condo from left a huge solid wood china cabinet because it didn't fit in the moving truck. I was shocked that was all he left because this place was packed with furniture. I left the top glass part in the garage and decided to use the bottom part as a mini apothecary to hold all my various herbs. I also decided to make the top a sacred altar with crystals and gifts from nature. I believe the herbs and crystals protect the home as well and block any negative energies so that only positive energy may enter our home.

Here is the sage, juniper and cedar I wildcrafted after the Full Harvest Moon in September.

I found each piece and ensured to ask each place if I could take some. Some of the pieces were already falling off or turning for the season which signaled it was safe to take. Also, every time I wildcraft I ensure there is plenty of the herb around. I never take if it is endangered or scarce in the area. There is a deep energetic connection between herbs and humans. Herbal medicine is why we as humans are still here today, how we survived. And how did we know what was safe? We communicated some how with those plants. I believe it was the energy that spoke to humans and helped them discover what was safe and what to use for what.

I had some herbs in small amounts that I wanted to store in glass sealed jars. That's the best way to keep the herbs fresh. I started saving baby food jars because I love to resuse things whenever I can.

I even was able to reuse some of the labels from the bags of herbs. I was so happy that all of the herbs fit in the 2 sizes of jars I had and I had the exact amount of jars I needed, how synchronistic.

Motherwort is great for balancing hormones, can help with thyroid issues and great for hotflashes and so much more!

This is my mini pharmacy, my medicine bag. My way to help myself and others. When I practice and study herbalism I feel a connection to my spiritual side, and perhaps some of my past lives. I know I have worked with herbal medicine before when I first started learning about Herbalism it was so natural, so familiar.

Slippery elm is wonderful for digestive issues especially diarrhea. It is also wonderful to help coat the digestive track. Great to take with ibuprofen to help protect your stomach lining. I love having these helpful herbs on hand that I can easily whip up a tea, poultice, or herbal honey.

I keep all my power items down here to keep the entry of the home safe. I have crystals, small items from my childhood, candles and my lizard my grandpa Johnny gave me. All these special things make my home feel my own and when I walk in and see them I feel so safe and connected. I love knowing that I have created a safe space for me and the kids to grow and thrive.

Hey @porters! Thanks for stopping by. Ahh, sometimes I overthink the contests if I focus on too many and bummer I missed it haha. Thanks so much for the positive feedback! Yes it's a good way to ground in from the outside world the minute I get in. I'm purchasing some more crystals to get bit even more charged in there. Happy Solstice and Yule🎄

Hehe are you some wort of witch😂😁 hey I'm only joking.

You made it look real snazzy 😏

Hahaha only a white witch though 🔮💞💫

Thank you!!

Atleast a white witch😜

I'm loving that 🌿🌴

Hahaha!!! Yes indeed😀😀🔮

Great entry @consciousangel7! Thanks for sharing a bit about your medicine cabinet and how it came to be!
Years ago I used baby food jars a good bit for my apothecary. For some things I rarely use that still works okay for me, but often times I now stock more than will fit in one so I use a lot of different kinds of re-purposed jars.
Of course, I have a million kids now...

Thank you! This contest was a great inspiration to get it done and quite procrastinating. Yes, me too these are my just know case and I have my mason jars of my regulars like: holy basil, anise, nettle, red raspberry leaf.

How may kids do you have?

Aw I feel the same!! As if herbs are singing to me, like they are my ancestral birthright. I just got a supply of motherwort! What would you recommend to take with it? The cabinet is so cute. I think I have the exact same plant on one of my medicine cabinets in yoga room. Xx Thanks sooo much for entering. Xx

Yes they do sing don't they??? I remember when I walked into a field of wildflowers in the middle of the forest as a child. I remember hearing them sing and knowing of something greater than I as well as my own greatness all at the same time. Ohhh!! I heard raspberry leaf, I love the taste and it's so great for us women. Even some nettle might be nice to help add some iron and nettle is such a blood building and nourishing herb. For some reason Mullein keeps popping in and it can be tricky in a tea. I took an awesome class that highlighted its properties and I've forgotten them besides it being a lung builder and mucus extractor. Thanks so much! It was such a fun gift, he wanted to sell it to me and I didn't need the huge top so I declined then he ended up leaving it for me anyway 💜💕 which plant? How fun, I love the similarities that we share. Thanks for always reading and commenting on my pieces, it really means a lot to me 💜🙏🏻💓 want to get on more and have been in survival mode and working on changing that 💫

I'll look up my mullein notes and get back to you 😊💗🌟

Oh, cool! I love your cabinet 💚

Is it good for the herbs to be sealed? Susun Weed usually recommends a breathable container to help your herbs last longer.

Thank you so much! It took me over 6 months to complete this vision and I am so grateful. Really??? My teacher and my current job has always taught me air sealed with herbs. Except Cannabis lol, that needs air for curing. Was there a reason she said they needed air? I love learning new things and definitely want to be caring right for my herbs for sure 😃👍

Thanks for stopping by 💓
