Thank God it's Friday! Cheers HIVERS!
I had a long day today and it's Friday. While I was conducting a class online, a thought came and bugged me about going out to grab a glass of frozen margarita, tiquila , or vodka spritz as self treats. These are the few of my favorite drinks. I believe we'd most likely want to have a relax time after a long weekdays. Raise your hands guilty. Guys, we deserve it, don't we? If you haven't done that, ladies and gentlemen, we'd better start being nice to ourself, go... get that something that makes you happy... and treat yourself. Is life all about work? sleep? pay bills? Life is short and not meant to be boring.
Stuck? Let's make a drink!
Unfortunately, it's a rainy Friday so that stop me from going. For that reason, I diverted my attention to tilling my plants. I have many indoor plants so I brought them out to have their drinks instead of me having, lol. I love plants specifically herbs. I am into natural medicine maybe because I grew up with an herbalist dad. So talking about drinks, we can make a tasty medicinal yet enjoyable drinks. In this case I'll be sharing about mint herb and its usefulness. As you noticed, there are two kind of herbs in a pot its because to me, it looks beautiful when its having plant companion. Mint is easy to propagate and are dominant, it grow roots easily as long as their stem touches the soil. Cuttings can be done either potting soil or water. I have mine in pots. The more it's trimmed, the more thicker it can become. I am lucky, I can have mint whenever I want to make mint drinks.
Some mint are also crop with aloe vera since alovera is one of the hard to kill plants and it's taller than mint, safer for aloes ( mine is an edible kind of aloes by the way).
I also have this recycle bottle to come up with hanging mint. All you gotta do is fill the bottle with soil and make holes around it then stick the mint in. Make sure to water it too,in this way, your helping it grow its roots faster.
Mint is known for its healing properties. It can improve brain function, known for its digestive aid, nausea relief, and its loaded with vit c and there's more to that. So how do I use mint? I add it to my ginger tea( in this photo, it has ginger, blue turnate, honey, turmeric, lime, and mint) The combination effect; you can feel burn in your stomach and minty. Your gut will thank you for it.
This is herbs infused water
What's in it? Of course the #1 mint, basil( known to purify the water and also treat acid reflux) lemon,a little himalayan salt, and cucumber. This is my morning drinks. I keep myself hydrated especially when I workout or on trail run/ hikes. You can add water to it once empty, it's good to go for a day.
Mint smoothie
This is for kidney detox. It has handful of mint, stevia( natural sugar) and flaxseed oil. Avoid this If you can't handle strong taste. I have no problem drinking mint, I drink it straight up.
Dragon fruit+ mint punch
This is substitute to herbs infused water whenever dragon fruit is availbale. This drink has lemon grass, lemon, dragon fruit, and mint.Just keep it in your fridge. It taste better when cold.
Some photos below are also posted just for your reference. Those are the photo I took some time ago. If you know more uses of mint please feel free to drop your comment below and be geenrous enough to share your passion/love/ knowledge.

Mint! Fantastic, its also been used in cold-pressed juices such as one I found at a cafe near my house. The flavour combinations are quite interesting but mint is labelled as the first ingredient. https://juiceculture.com.au/products/lush
Sure those taste great @aussiehealth .. some just blend it fresh and add to iced tea.
Its amazing how many ways it can be used. Such a fresh taste.
