I'd like to add that if you do use the oven, if the temps go over 145F, it will destroy the nutrients and enzymes you are seeking from the teas.
Also, the horse owners around here actively discourage shepherd's purse, saying it is toxic to horses.

Thanks! I also don't recommend giving shepherd's purse tea to horses. 😜
It's not so much the giving, as it's pretty invasive and gets into the pastures and hay.
