My pain emerged as a source of embarrassment for me as I'd talk about it with people. It became eye-opening. That's when I knew I had to change my life and live in love and joy instead of pain and shame.

It's interesting just how many people come at life from a place of pain ans shame. And — as we gain insight — it's also important to remember that often those places were perfectly legitimate survival strategies when we were children and had no power over our lives... the challenge is to recognize that old patterns are no longer applicable, to we can leave them behind,
