How to prepare an orange peels and it's health benefits?

Who doesn't want a citrus fruit, especially the orange. This juicy and sweet tasting fruit is known for being high in Vitamin C. And it's my personal favorite, it's unique zest orangely smell, it's sweet meat and the health benefits from it's peel. However, with most people orange peel usually end being thrown to trash bin.

Yes, you have heard it right orange peel are also rich in nutrients, vitamins and healing compound which perhaps less people known about it. So let's delve deeper to see what benefits we got in an orange peels.

What are the health Benefits of Orange Peel?

According to some studies and reports suggest that an orange peel is one of the most healthiest part of the fruit. Infact, it contain vitamin C which is three times more than the meat, dietary fibers, rich in flavonoids, pectin, good amounts of provitamin A, folate, riboflavin, thiamine, vitamin B6, calcium, copper and plant compounds like olyphenols.

Other than from the above mention and scientifically proven studies, I would like to figure out what else an orange peel can do in terms being a natural medicine.

Orange peel have been used in Chinese herbal medicines thousands of years ago to naturally fight high blood pressure and cholesterol and it is more effective than many prescription drugs. How does an orange peel taste?
Orange peel comes with unpleasant and bitter taste and has a tough, dry texture that is difficult to chew. With that being said you can serve or consume it with a salt to taste which I prepared.

Others, boils it for at least 15 mins and serve with honey to taste. While some prefer to dry and make a tea of it.
