Domingo productivo/ vivero de cacao parte 1~Productive Sunday / cocoa nursery part 1
Feliz noche mis amigos de hive, un gran saludo fraternal a esta hora por cuestiones y dificultades en la energía eléctrica donde vivo no habia podido publicar este contenido mañanero muy productivo. Venezuela cuenta con una gran producción de cacao de buena calidad y en el estado Sucre se da uno de los mejores cacaos del país además de contar con una tierra muy fértil gran parte del territorio sucrense cuenta con plantas de cacao.
Happy evening my friends from hive, a great fraternal greeting at this time due to issues and difficulties in the electrical energy where I live, I had not been able to publish this very productive morning content. Venezuela has a large production of good quality cocoa and the state of Sucre has one of the best cocoas in the country in addition to having a very fertile land, a large part of the territory of Sucre has cocoa plants.
En mi humilde casa cuenta con un terreno amplio donde se pueden encontrar diferentes árboles frutales como el mango, pumalaca, lechoza, bananos entre otros, pero no contaba con plantas de cacao por eso tuve la iniciativa de realizar un vivero con unas pocas plantas y lo quise compartir con todos ustedes. En este caso, hice con anticipación la germinacion de las semillas de cacao usando un envase con agua y las introduje en ella, a partir de ese momento espere aproximadamente 15 dias para que la semilla comenzará tallar.
In my humble house it has a wide land where you can find different fruit trees such as mango, pumalaca, lechoza, bananas among others, but it did not have cocoa plants so I had the initiative to make a nursery with a few plants and it I wanted to share with all of you. In this case, I did the germination of the cocoa beans in advance using a container with water and I put them in it, from that moment I waited approximately 15 days for the seed to start carving.
El dia de hoy cumplido los 15 dias y al notar que las semillas ya estaban tallando me dispuse a hacer el vivero, use bolsas plasticas de harina de maíz precocida y arroz ya que son mas resistentes y sobre todo económicas, en este caso las corte por la mitad y abri unos pequeños huecos y luego rellene con tierra también anteriormente abonada lista para sembrar las semillas.
Today, after 15 days, and when I noticed that the seeds were already carving, I started to make the nursery, I used plastic bags of precooked corn flour and rice since they are more resistant and especially economical, in this case I cut them by half and opened some small holes and then filled in with previously fertilized soil ready to sow the seeds.
Cabe mencionar que las plantas de cacao deben estar bajo sombra para que los rayos del sol no les peguen directamente por eso realice este pequeño vivero bajo la sombra de las matas de pumalacas, otro punto importante es que luego de haber sembrado las semillas se debe esperar otros 15 dias o más para que la plata de cacao cresca y este lista para replantarla. Las plantas de cacao para producir debe tener un tiempo aproximado de 4 años o más y una planta de cacao puede alcanzar producir unas 50 maracas que eso equivale a 2 kilos de cacao. Estoy entusiasmado con este proyecto en mi terreno pues lo hice con vista al fututo y de manera que mi pequeña hija tenga una pequeña parte de sus ahorros en estas plantas de cacao además de enseñar las cosas que se pueden hacer con el cacao.
It is worth mentioning that the cocoa plants must be under shade so that the sun's rays do not hit them directly, so make this small nursery under the shade of the pumalaca bushes, another important point is that after having sown the seeds you must wait another 15 days or more for the cocoa silver to grow and be ready to replant. The cacao plants to produce must have an approximate time of 4 years or more and a cacao plant can produce about 50 maracas, which is equivalent to 2 kilos of cacao. I am excited about this project on my land because I did it with a view to the future and so that my little daughter has a small part of her savings in these cacao plants as well as teaching the things that can be done with cacao.

Cacao plants take 4 years to be a full grown tree? We used to have a cacao tree at our backyard at our old house and we always enjoy eating its fruits.
