Lolll... I have been teaching since December, 2018 until the moment that l left for service last year and l can clearly say that l'm one of those teachers that adopts an Unconventional approach to teaching. Students were always expecting me to come and write long notes for them on the board so that they can copy and dump in the bag without reading it or understanding what they copied.
I wouldn't blame them because that was how teachers did the program for them but l wasn't that type. I made them to see a different learning approach and l can say that most of them will always look back to that moment and be happy for my method.
Well, some will always put on an act and become lip service pioneers all in the name of being seen as professionals. It's probably due to how much they want to survive in the industry but l'm not that person. I only give what l have without a clause to improve on my skills

Haha you have a good eye. I was just frustrated because of how hard it is to convince people of anything with actual honesty...and it’s cause they are lied to by advertisements every day, authenticity is so foreign that they don’t even know how to recognize it. I had a session with someone who seemed happy enough with me last week but when she found out I charged for 5 sessions at a time (fewer than most schools or coaches) age changed her mind (even though she was thoroughly happy with a free trial. If I charge every session separately, that’s 45 extra receipts I have to report for taxes lol. Give me a break!

I’m always unconventional and my students love it. I just have a problem where no one ever seems to come to you for what they really want. Everyone who says they want to learn English actually wants a life coach or a psychologist. And everyone who comes to me for a life coach just wants a boyfriend.
