I am about to make something similiar with elderberries, which are just ripening here. You are lucky you can forage for blackberries there - here, they are sprayed.
Yes, we do run too quickly to the doctors. My husband got a bit flu-ey the other day. Of course, his first thought was that he had coronavirus, then that he should take antibiotics. I slapped him and he came to his senses. I forced ACV, sage and raw honey syrup down his throat, gave him C, zinc and lots of water, and made him lie on the couch. Lo! An hour later he was working on his landrover again. Placebo, maybe. But still, my thought is 'tea tree oil' and his is 'strongest cream pharmacy has' - and this is after living together for 17 years and me being Nat Med queen lol!

@naturalmedicine, they spray blackberries? That's awful. I remember picking them as a child and we had to avoid the ones close to roads because of the residue from the traffic.
