This leaf is called "Ndodob" in the Ibibio language. I’m not sure what it is called in your dialect, but feel free to share its name in the comment section. Ndodob can be easily prepared at home and used to treat a persistent cough before resorting to English (conventional) medicine.

How to Prepare It:

1 . Pluck some leaves of Ndodob.

2 . Place the leaves over the fire briefly to expose them to heat. Alternatively, you can put the leaves in an empty pot and place it on the fire to soften them.

3 . Observe the leaves closely and, once they are soft, remove them from the fire. Add a little water and squeeze out the juice.

4 . Add a pinch of salt to the extracted Ndodob juice.

5 . Drink the juice if you are experiencing a cough.

**Cómo prepararlo

1 . Arrancar algunas hojas de Ndodob.

2 . Colocar las hojas brevemente sobre el fuego para exponerlas al calor. Alternativamente, puedes poner las hojas en una olla vacía y colocarla sobre el fuego para ablandarlas.

3 . Observa las hojas de cerca y, cuando estén blandas, retíralas del fuego. Añade un poco de agua y exprime el zumo.

4 . Añadir una pizca de sal al zumo de Ndodob extraído.

5 . Beba el zumo si tiene tos.
