Green Bean Porridge | Plant-based Cooking Challenge.

Green beans are one of the plants that are rich in benefits for the health of the body, plants belonging to the legume tribe are rich in vitamins, protein, and nutrients.

In this article I will process green beans into delicious and savory green bean porridge food to enjoy, this post also follows the #plantbased cooking challenge every week by @justinparke, I prepare this dish with my wife at home.

The process of making this dish does look easy, but for me, who has never done it, this dish is very difficult, of course, but on this occasion I finished serving the dish with my wife at home. Here's how to cook delicious and savory green bean porridge.

Before processing this dish, it is better to prepare kitchen utensils for cooking, utensils such as cooking spoons, tablespoons, food filters, cooking pots, stoves and other kitchen utensils needed in the processing of this dish.

When the kitchen utensils are available, then provide the ingredients needed to process green bean porridge, ingredients such as green beans, coconut milk, pandan leaves, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cornstarch and ginger and water. Prepare the ingredients to taste according to your needs and tastes.

After the ingredients are prepared then I will explain how to process this dish, how to process it as follows.

The first thing is to turn on the stove fire normally and then boil the water in the cooking pot until it really boils, when it boils, add enough brown sugar as desired into the boiling water, stir until smooth and the water turns reddish in color.

When it's dissolved, turn off the stove and then strain the boiled brown sugar. The goal is to sterilize the water from the impurities contained in the brown sugar, if it has been done then turn on the stove fire and boil the brown sugar water again.

The boiled brown sugar water is then added to the green beans in the pan and stirred until smooth, then add the pandan leaves and ginger, stir until evenly distributed, try not to crush the green beans, wait until the green beans are cooked.

After the green beans are cooked then put the sugar into the pan, stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Stir continuously until completely cooked, then pour enough coconut milk, stir until evenly distributed and continuously so that the coconut milk does not break, if it breaks then the process of making mung bean porridge is not perfect.

Next to make the porridge thick, pour enough cornstarch, stir until evenly distributed and completely cooked, if the porridge is cooked and thick then you can serve it directly to the food serving plate. For cornstarch, if you don't use it, it's also okay, the use of this material is to make the food thick and not change the taste of the food.

If the serving process is complete, you can enjoy green bean porridge with a delicious and savory taste with your family at home. Green bean porridge is more delicious to eat while the food is still hot, it is better to consume it in the morning or after exercise as a nutritional intake for the body.

Enjoying this food is certainly very beneficial for the health of the body, this food is believed to be able to improve digestion, prevent heart disease and cholesterol and increase stamina.

But it looks like it would be sweet with all of the sugars in it.
