RE: Wednesday Wellbeing Club | 11 August - 24 November | Launch: Wednesday 11 August 2021

This looks like a very worthwhile Wednesday initiative Shani.

Nice to see you're setting yourself health goals, and I was interested to read about the rule of 5's and the SMART objective (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timebound).

I'm currently blogging crazy political comedic rants on a Wednesday 😂 ... but at some point I'll run out of stories to rant about, when I do I'll join in with the Wednesday Wellbeing Club 🙂

Hello @raj808, good to see you! How are you? I hope you are hsving some sunshine through the summer and the tomatoes are doing well. (Have we ever seen a picture of the tomatoes)?
I enjoyed your post recently about the Peace Doves and the wildflower meadow at Otterspool - I've never made it down there, I must try next time I am in Liverpool, although that will be in November, so maybe not the best time!
You're very welcome anytime you want to join us, just pop by and leave a comment if you're busy with other things, it all adds to the ambience 😍

Hi Shani.

I'm okay, been quite sick... but what's new, same same but different as they say in Thailand 😂

(Have we ever seen a picture of the tomatoes)?

They're not quite ripe yet. When the heat wave disappeared leaving Liverpool in mainly cloudy days, it knocked the wind out of their sails. I'm seeing some color in a few of them now so should start getting the first of the glut soon 🤞

Glad you enjoyed the Peace Doves and Wildflowers post. Yeah, those meadows will be gone by November and the peace doves finish this month too. But you've seen them already anyway.

Message me when you're coming down if you have time to meet up for coffee, cake and a chat 🙂

Sorry that your health is still so much of a challenge, hope you get some respite now and then. Good to know that you are writing, though 🙂.

My tomatoes are the same, I was beginning to think they would never ripen, but they are just getting some colour. I think I may pinch out the top trusses and let the energy go to the others lower down the plants.

The spinach now, that's going bonkers, and the rhubarb. My neighbour's family and I are eating spinach twice a day, and I've made jam and frozen crumbles with the rhubarb. I guess they are cooler weather crops, so this summer is working for them.

I'm in Liverpool for a few days from 31 October, I'll get in touch nearer the time 😎

I think I may pinch out the top trusses and let the energy go to the others lower down the plants.

I'm not sure you'll have to take trusses off that have already set, but I'd pinch out the growing tips on all tomato plants. I stopped mine off about 10 days ago. But I have got a bumper amount of green plum tomatoes on the bush ones so I thought better to stop the tops to pump the energy into ripening the fruit 🍅😀
