Staying at home gave me an opportunity to experiments with different recipes. I would not say, I'm an expert in the kitchen but it's fun to try different recipes, no?
This Sago pudding is not very appealing, I know. But it was tasty. This was my first time making this dessert.
Sago used to be very common in Bangladesh back in the '90s. But now I don't see any tapioca plants around, people also don't consume this that much. So sago desserts became unpopular here. But still, we use sago in some desserts like 'Faluda' or make padding with it.
If you are not familiar with sago, then I would say, it's something similar to 'Boba'. But it's softer, smaller in size and it's pearl white.
Let's see how we can prepare the pudding!
What we need?
- Sago/Tapioca 250gm
- Sugar
- Water
- Fruits
- Milk
- Jello (optional)
Step one
I took 250gm of Sago.
Step Two
Soak the sago in water for almost five hours and more if necessary.
Step Three
Boil the sago in full cream milk until it cooked well. Add sugar as per your taste. When you see a transparent color, remove it from the oven/gas.
Step Four
Add some fruits and jello!
I have added some grapes and ready-made jello. You can add anything you want, like mango, which is good going with this recipe.
Step Five
Pour the mixture in a bowl or serving glass for two hours. After cooling down put it in the freeze for another hour. And, it will be done!
As I was saying, this was my first time. So I couldn't decorate it properly. I'm leaving This link where you can see the detail of how to prepare it and how to decorate it properly. It looks and tastes amazing!
Cut the pudding before serving.
I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of Sago. It's not very common as a dessert in my country, as I was saying. So, I didn't get to know different cooking options with sago. But after learning about this pudding, I became surprised. It's so simple, takes only a few ingredients and minutes to prepare yet it's very tasty.
The taste of sago is very relaxing/shooting and refreshing to me. Try it, you would not be disappointed!

I'm sure it's delicious. although I have never tasted it. If I look at the ingredients, they are all nutritious. I think this is a quality recipe.
It's very easy. If the ingredients are available to you, I would suggest you to try this. It's nutritious and tasty.

This looks so delicious! I have always related tapioca with milk tea but now I want to try this out too. It reminds me of the overnight oats i used to eat back then because of the fruits you used. 🌞
I neve had tapioca with milk tea, I need to try this.
Yes, oats are something similar to this but the texture is different.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
For the first time I would say you did an awesome job. It looks very delicious. Somehow I missed this recipe, I think you perhaps forgot to share it in the comments of the @LotusShares post.
I should remind you that the contest is fully #plantbased, so using full cream milk would not technically be vegan, as milk comes from cows. However, you could easily make this vegan by using a vegan milk substitute like soy milk or something similar.

I really missed the part. Well as it is not fully vegan so maybe it would be better to exclude myself from the contest.
I will try next time.
Thanks for your appreciation. It means a lot 😊😇
