Liposomal Vitamin C is a good option. Many books have been written on the use of high dose Vitamin C for Cancer and other issues. There is over 8 decades of research on the topic.
Those who are extremely sick can receive IV Vitamin C but it is very expensive due to it only being done in a few clinics and the patient requiring constant medical monitoring for several weeks. The liposomal option is much more accessible and lower cost.
Lipolife is a liposomal Vit C product made in Britain. Each person will tolerate a different amount of it and I have no experience of using it with people with bowel cancer, so it might be worth talking to someone who has before trying it. The main reason I say that is that once you reach the daily amount that your body can tolerate you may get loose stools.. and I am not clear how that may affect bowel cancer. I'm guessing it would be ok though. The goal is to then reduce the amount given daily to prevent the loose sools.
Combining high dose Vitamin C with Lipoic acid is claimed by researchers to multiply the effect of the vitamin C. Also combining with Vitamin K3 is meant to multiply it by 30 times, but the effect is so strong that this is only done when medically monitored by a Doctor. The effect there is comparable in strength to chemotherapy.
You can also access medical cannabis (including THC) in Britain and it's easier to use a company like mamedica to do that. The Nhs is deliberately backwards when it comes to these things. They will claim that THC has no curative effect on cancer, partially because the UK 'Cancer Act' makes it a crime to claim that you can cure cancer. However, there is a fair amount of evidence that shows the benefits of THC on cancer. This piece in nature covers the topic.
Oxygen therapy chambers are also helpful for cancer. Cancer is a metabolic disease that typically correlates to low oxygen levels, low magnesium levels and an acidic body PH. Another connecting factor is cellular microvoltage levels that arise in the diseased cells.
Diet is hugely important and typically a plant based diet is by far the most effective for resolving cancer since this is the only possible way to alkalise the body. Many people talk about this but are ignorant of the mechanisms involved. To my understanding, the issue is not whether or not the food itself is acidic or alkaline. What is important is the PH of the cellular ash that is residually produced by the body cells after the food is 'burned'/oxidised. Lemons are acidic but leave behind an alkaline ash, so have an alkalising effect on the body. Dairy, meat, bread and many other foods are acidifying and the collective addiction to them goes a long way to explain why cancer is killing so many people.
YesToLife is the only organisation I would recommend people speak to in Britain about cancer. The rest seem to be massively corrupt.

Thank you. They don't live in the UK, so I am not sure how accessible these are but I will mention them and send the helpful links. I mentioned THC and sent the hemp oil just to ease them onto this alternative remedy. I am hoping they can get it where they are in Europe. They are well enough to work full-time now so can take a moment to look at the links too amongst their work schedule. Sadly they did have a bad diet. It might be that the extreme loss of weight was a good thing in that sense. Hopefully removing the toxic effects of a terrible diet. They take high dose vitamin C tablets, but the Liposomal Vitamin C will be of interest I am sure. They are financially secure and on a good income so hopefully this is within their reach. It is a slow process convincing someone of an alternative therapy, however it is helpful that they don't wish to continue in conventional treatment offered so as to help open their mind to such. Thanks for the great information.
