This is one of my favorite techniques. I remember when I started working as a manicurist, That was over 3 years ago. Back then I could easily spend around 40 min just trying to get a decent blurry effect. Now is different, I can have it done in 10 min max. It depends on the layers I apply to the nail and the color.

Esta es una de mis técnicas favoritas. Recuerdo cuando empecé a trabajar como manicurista, Eso fue hace más de 3 años. En ese entonces podía pasar fácilmente alrededor de 40 min sólo tratando de conseguir un efecto de desenfoque decente. Ahora es diferente, puedo tenerlo hecho en 10 minutos como máximo. Depende de las capas que aplique en la uña y del color.

We can use a sponge or a brush to get this effect. I have both, but I feel quite comfortable working with a sponge. The only drawback is the dust that the sponge can catch when working. I also use the brush but not as often as the sponge. It was my client's birthday that day and she wanted to wear orange without making her nails look so gaudy.

Podemos utilizar una esponja o un pincel para conseguir este efecto. Yo tengo ambos, pero me siento bastante cómodo trabajando con una esponja. El único inconveniente es el polvo que puede recoger la esponja al trabajar. También utilizo el pincel, pero no tan a menudo como la esponja. Ese día era el cumpleaños de mi clienta y quería llevar el color naranja sin que sus uñas parecieran tan llamativas.

So neat! I love baby boomer style nails too but I don't know how to make it myself, I struggle with the gradient cos I don't have the proper brush :D
