Bitshares Astro October Dev Update - #003 - Improving the issued asset page and overall UX

Thank you for checking out the latest Bitshares Astro UI development blog!

The Bitshares Astro UI aims to be a complete overhaul and optional replacement for the Bitshares light client; using next-gen web technologies to start from scratch the project is nearing 100% feature replacment!

So, what’s in today’s blog post then?

As of today's Astro-UI update, multiple new features have been added to the "Issued Asset" page, and major UX improvements have been made to the "Borrow smartcoins" page!

There's a new release for the Bitshares Astro UI project to go with this dev blog post! Check it out

Issued Assets Actions!

First off, when viewing the assets you've created, the state of the smartcoin is thoroughly evaluated, and if not fully operational will show a warning to draw your attention to the issue:

A direct link to bidding on settlement funds is provided (in case it's simply a matter of global settlement resolution):

Assuming it's an operational asset, let's quickly preview the newly introduced issuer asset actions:

And for user issued assets:

And active smartcoins with the global_settle permission:

Smartcoin Borrow page UX improvements!

So, there's a few improvements here:

  • Some extra details like the price and supply is now shown for each smartcoin.
  • Private smartcoins don't include bitassets/honest smartcoins
  • No longer shows smartcoins which cannot be borrowed (either because of global settlement or insufficient price feeds)

MISC

Turns out the AI translations were failing to translate full strings if the following strings were detected: [".", ";"]

This means that some strings for translated pages were being cut off either 1/4 or 1/2 through the intended string.

With these now permanently fixed, users using different locales should observe a noticeable increase in the amount of text throughout the app! 😅

So, how will you make use of this functionality? Comment below!

We needed a solution for vehicle tracking, route optimization and cost control. Here, the Devox Software team developed software for us that addressed all of our requirements and greatly simplified the processes. The system proved to be user-friendly, improved fleet planning and monitoring, and helped to reduce operating and maintenance costs.
