Hello to the few members of this community and cosplay lovers! Once again I try to mobilize this a bit here haha bringing a small homemade photo shoot that I did of my cosplay from the anime Ranma 1/2, which I recently wore to the Caracas Comic-Con.

It is worth mentioning that I made this cosplay years ago, when I didn't even know about the existence of the platform haha, so I couldn't post the procedure. At that time, I was watching the anime with my younger brother and we decided to do the cosplay as a couple. In the anime, Ranma Saotome is a boy who, due to a curse, turns into a woman after being doused with cold water and returns to normal with hot water.

I remember that the process of making the cosplay was quite fun, because at that time I didn't have access to the internet, so I had to improvise a lot to make the pieces that I didn't know how to make (especially the buttons, which in the end, I ended up making in a simple way). I sewed the panda plush by hand at that time, even though I had the machine, I didn't dare to sew so many curves in such small pieces haha.

In the anime, Ranma wears several types of shirts: sleeveless, long sleeves, or 3/4 sleeves. We chose the sleeveless version because it was really hot where we lived haha, but when I wore the cosplay again, I didn't regret that decision because it helped me stay cool.

Luckily, I didn't have to do any repairs to the cosplay, but I did have to re-cover a pair of sneakers, because I think I left the ones I used during the move. For this photoshoot, as you can see, I'm the only model haha. My brother outgrew his cosplay and luckily, he had a black wig, so I thought I'd do a sort of "double" photoshoot.

The lighting where I live is awful and it was cloudy haha but the important thing is that I was finally able to take the photos. I used my phone: A Xiaomi Redmi 9. For the editing, I used the Line Camera and Photoroom apps. I'm not a professional, so I'm happy with the result ✨

¡Hola a los pocos integrantes de ésta comunidad y amantes del cosplay! Una vez más intento movilizar un poco esto por aquí jaja trayendo una pequeña sesión de fotos casera que hice de mi cosplay del anime Ranma 1/2, el cual llevé recientemente a la Caracas Comic-Con.

Cabe mencionar que éste cosplay lo hice hace años, cuando ni siquiera sabía de la existencia de la plataforma jaja así que, no pude publicar el procedimiento del mismo. En ese tiempo, andaba viendo el anime con mi hermano menor y nos animamos a hacer el cosplay en pareja. En el anime, Ranma Saotome es un chico que, debido a una maldición, se convierte en mujer luego de ser mojado por agua fría y vuelve a la normalidad, con el agua caliente.

Recuerdo que bastante divertido el proceso de elaborar el cosplay, porque en ese tiempo no contaba con acceso a internet, así que tuve que improvisar bastante para elaborar las piezas que no sabía como hacer (sobre todo los botones, que al final, acabé haciéndolos de un modo sencillo). El peluche del panda, lo cosí a mano en esa época, a pesar de que tenía la máquina, no me aventuré a coser tantas curvas en unas piezas tan pequeñas jaja.

En el anime, Ranma utiliza varios tipos de camisa: sin mangas, con mangas largas o con mangas 3/4. Nosotros escogimos la versión sin mangas porque donde vivíamos hacía mucho calor jaja pero al volver a usar el cosplay, no me arrepentí de esa decisión, porque ello me ayudó a estar fresca.

Por suerte, no tuve que hacerle ningún tipo de reparación al cosplay, pero si tuve que forrar un par de zapatillas, porque las que usé en su tiempo, creo que las dejé durante la mudanza. Para ésta sesión de fotos, como podrán ver, yo soy la única modelo jaja A mi hermano ya no le queda el cosplay y por suerte, contaba con una peluca negra, así que pensé en hacer una especie de sesión de fotografías "doble".

La iluminación en donde vivo, es nefasta y de paso, estaba nublado jaja pero lo importante es que por fin pude tomar las fotografías. Utilicé mi teléfono: Un xioami Redmi 9. Para las ediciones, utilicé las app Line Camera y Photoroom. No soy profesional, así que, me conformo con el resultado ✨
