This is my Filipiniana outfit during the buwan ng wika in our school. Buwan ng Wika is the national language month, celebrated each year during August, as an encouragement to promote the traditional Filipino language and culture.
My Filipiniana is a combination of modern and tribe Filipiniana. The kimona (the top) symbolizes a modern or present outfit, while the malong (the bottom) symbolize the tribe here in the Philippines. They also choose me in the first round for The Best Filipiniana, but sadly I didn't get to the last round. I'm still grateful that they chose me.
I remembered also wearing similar to this during school activities.

Looks like a nice outfit. My "country" México has many indigenous people and they have distinct outfits as well.
Here's an example.
Your Filipiniana outfit looks stunning! I . Even if you didn’t make it to the final round, being recognized in the first round is already a big achievement. It shows how much effort and creativity you put into your look. Keep celebrating and sharing our heritage. you inspire others to appreciate and embrace our culture! 🇵🇭👏
