Esta simple pero deliciosa galleta tiene su origen en Inglaterra, cuando Peek, Freans & Co, una empresa galletera planeo crear una galleta en honor al matrimonio entre la Gran Duquesa María Aleksándrovna de Rusia con el príncipe Alfredo I de Sajonia-Coburgo-Gotha.

This simple but delicious cookie has its origin in England, when Peek, Freans & Co, a cookie company planned to create a cookie in honor of the marriage between Grand Duchess Maria Aleksandrovna of Russia and Prince Alfred I of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

El enlace se realizó en el palacio de Invierno de San Petersburgo y fue por este motivo que ambos reposteros decidieron bautizar a estas galletas Marie Biscuit, en honor a la nueva integrante de la Familia Real.

The wedding took place at the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg and it was for this reason that both confectioners decided to name these biscuits Marie Biscuit, in honor of the new member of the Royal Family.

  • Agregar azúcar en el bowl.

  • Ponemos las galletas sobre la bandeja engrasada y llevamos al horno por 10 minutos a 180 C°.
