There are many Korean restaurants to select from given that there are approximately 200,000 Koreans residing in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. Some of them provide excellent food that is very comparable to that found in South Korea. In this post, I’s like to introduce you the BBQ Plan-K, one of the best Korean eateries I've ever had the pleasure of dining at. 😉))
The Plan-K restaurant is an excellent example of traditional Korean culture in general. It has a high capacity, elegant space, and a contemporary design and is situated in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh city. Both domestic and international diners frequent this location. Over two stories, it features a lot of private tables. The norm at Korean BBQ restaurants is to have a grill and a smoke-extraction system on each table. Every time a customer comes here, they receive nothing but complete satisfaction thanks to the staff's warmth, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.
You will experience 100% Korean style BBQ at this Korean barbecue restaurant, which was founded by Koreans. Diners at Plan-K enjoy a wide variety of options thanks to the menu's remarkable diversity and attractiveness, and the food there is authentically Korean. Several soups, including those using young tofu, kimchi, soybeans,... You shouldn't miss these delectable mixed rice and noodle dishes: mixed vermicelli, cold noodles, royal noodles, mixed rice with pot, mixed rice with braised sauce, etc. Additionally, the restaurant offers Korean soups on its menu, including: Beef rib soup, beef soup, etc.
The price range for these Korean delicacies is 70.000 to 400.000 VND. Numerous varieties of beer, including Heineken, Tiger, Strongbow,... ranging in price from 20.000 to 160.000 VND, especially Soju is extremely good. - BBQ:
Korean barbecue is popular because it is tasty and nutritious. Quality meat, whether it is beef or pork, served raw or seasoned with soy sauce and fruit juice, is one of Plan-best K's features. The cuisine is prepared in a very appealing and lovely way. You are given meat to grill, ssamjang (a soybean-based paste with garlic and chili), lettuce leaves, and refillable panchan. You can also ask the restaurant staff to grill the meat for you if you want to guarantee its quality. They are really supportive and friendly.
Come to Plan-K, do not miss the “Marinated Pork Galbi” super delicious, and immerse yourself in the extremely attractive and fragrant flavors. Pork is meticulously chosen from the best cuts, and small layers of fat are dotted throughout the lean meat. To make the meat tender and delectable, it is marinated in a unique sauce. Enjoying this appealing dish is certain to gratify diners. From the mouthwatering flavor in every fiber to the seamless blending with the creamy sauce seasoned by a team of experienced chefs, this meal is unquestionably addicting. Grill the meat to perfection, serve with kimchi and vegetables, and then take a mouthful of the fragrant meat roll, a rich dipping sauce, and a sip to fully appreciate the flavors of this distinctive grilled cuisine. Prepare a soju or makgeolli glass. You'll never forget this delicious taste, for sure.

Plan-K’s Panchan is really great. Free Panchan refill with a fixed charge of 70,000 VND for each adult.
The utilization of varied seasonings and flavors, which provide unique combinations and nutritional intakes, is what makes Korean cuisine unique. Korean chefs place a high value on health. In actuality, the nutritional content of the food is frequently even more significant than its flavor, and the dish's presentation is occasionally not even taken into account. However, the quantity is crucial. On a Korean table, a lot of side dishes are traditionally served. Don't worry if you don't finish it all, it won't be held against you! However, keep in mind that all of those side dishes can be replenished for free if you desire more.
+Short rib soup
A clear soup known as "short rib soup" is made with beef short ribs. It is a flavorful soup that is filling and nourishing. Typically, Korean radish, onion, garlic, and ginger are added to a pot along with the ribs and cooked until soft.
Since beef short ribs are a premium cut of meat in Korea, this soup is regarded as a luxury and is frequently served at important events like wedding celebrations. But now, you can taste this fantastic soup at Plan-K for just 230,000 VND, or about $10.
- Cold Noodle
You can also choose a naengmyeon if you'd rather have noodles than rice. Myeon means "noodle" and naeng means "cold." It is a cold noodle dish that originated in North Korea and can be eaten with a spicy sauce or in an ice broth. According to some sources, buckwheat noodles can reduce inflammation, indigestion, and age-related disorders. The smaller portion costs 80,000 VND, while the larger portion costs 150,000 VND. I'd like to recommend a little serving that would be sufficient for one Vietnamese person eating normally.

Some of my friends and family actually work there and they tell me its almost like a Korea Town in Los Angeles. I never been there but I hear stories of how fast the city developed due to Samsung and LG pumping in a lot money into Vietnam economy to build huge factories. I did hear that the Korean food there is equally as good as Korea itself. I am Korean American by the way so a lot of people in Korea for several years Vietnam was a hot topic in the media and also by word of mouth. There are only a few countries that nailed down the real deal taste of Korean food outside of Korea. and I heard Vietnam is LEGIT!!~~ So lucky~~ :)
