Greetings!

Today I will share with you guys one of the easiest dishes that always cook because it is so easy to prepare and cook. The dish contains only one main ingredient and the rests are species and condiments and it only requires easy steps to get the cooking done in no time. The dish is called "Adobong Sitaw" in our local language and Sitaw is the equivalent of "String Beans" in English.

This dish is also very versatile because you can add pork, chicken, fried fish, smoked fish, dried fish, dried squid, and dried shrimp to make it tastier. But I usually cook it with no added ingredient, only the string beans would do.

I came to know this dish when I was still young, my family would frequently cook this dish because my is always planting string beans in his little vegetable garden just beside our old ancestral house.

So, without further ado, here's how I cook this very simple but delicious dish...

  • String Beans (Sitaw)
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Bay Leaves
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • Soy Sauce (5 tablespoons)
  • Vinegar (5 tablespoons)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Cooking Oil

Slice and wash the sting beans

Peel and slice the onion

Peel and slice the garlic

Hi @afterglow,
This is an interesting recipe, I usually made salads with String Beans. I would cook them and then add red onion, garlic and dress them with lemon, salt, oil and vinegar. I will try this recipe, thanks for sharing it 😃

Thank you, I am glad to know that you are going to try it. Good evening!

I !LUV simple recipes and fewer ingredients in my food. It really highlights the main ingredient and adobo is my favorite so this is great. !PIZZA

That's right, it highlights the main ingredient.

Looks delicious! I love me some string beans that's for sure!
