Hola amigos de FOODIES BEE HIVE, saludos para todos, el día de hoy compartiré con ustedes la receta y preparación de las CONSERVAS DE COCO, son unos dulces típicos de Venezuela, personalmente las he visto en las playas del Oriente del país, servidas en hojas de naranja o limón, además de ser oscuras por ser preparadas con papelón, en mi caso las preparé con azúcar. A mi parecer ambos sabores son deliciosos, de pronto en una próxima oportunidad las realice con papelón.

Hello friends of FOODIES BEE HIVE, greetings to all, today I will share with you the recipe and preparation of CANNED COCONUTS, they are typical sweets of Venezuela, I have personally seen them on the beaches of the East of the country, served in orange leaves or lemon, in addition to being dark because they are prepared with paper, in my case I prepared them with sugar. In my opinion both flavors are delicious, suddenly in a next opportunity I will make them with papelón.

INGREDIENTES:

  • Un COCO grande
  • Medio kilo de AZÚCAR

INGREDIENTS:

  • A large COCONUT
  • Half a kilo of sugar

PREPARACIÓN:

  • Picar el coco y llevar a la licuadora para triturar o si ustedes prefieren lo pueden rallar.

  • Chop the coconut and put it in a blender to grind or if you prefer, you can grate it.

  • Llevar al fuego el coco con el azúcar e ir revolviendo con cuchara de madera hasta que despegue de la olla.

  • Bring the coconut with the sugar to the fire and stir with a wooden spoon until it detaches from the pot.

  • Acá el proceso de cocción se facilita y se da gracias a que el coco cuando entra en contacto con el calor irá botando su leche, además de que el azúcar se va disolviendo, esto hace que nuestra coco se humedezca y la cocción se va dando poco a poco.

  • Here the cooking process is facilitated and it is given thanks to the fact that the coconut when it comes into contact with the heat will throw off its milk, in addition to the fact that the sugar dissolves, this makes our coconut moistened and the cooking continues slowly.

  • Engrasar un molde y verter la mezcla anterior, cuando esté fría picar en cuadritos con un cuchillo.
