[ESP- ENG] MANJAR DE PARCHITA // DELICATE OF PATCH

Hola queridos seguidores de FOODIES BEE HIVE, es un inmenso placer presentarles mi receta de MANJAR DE PARCHITA, es un postre venezolano, súper económico, sencillo delicioso y refrescante, cuando les hablo de económico es porque lo pueden elaborar con pocos ingredientes; no lleva leche, harina ni huevos, con tan solo agua, parchita, azúcar y maicena (o fécula de maíz), podemos crear un rico postre para satisfacer nuestros antojos en la tarde-noche. Además es ideal para las personas intolerantes al gluten o lactosas.

Otro punto a favor de este delicioso postre es que lo podemos elaborar con las frutas de la estación, por ejemplo, si es época de parchita, lo preparamos de esa fruta, si es naranja, pues lo cambiamos a esta rica fruta, y así, hasta la toronja.

Hello dear followers of FOODIES BEE HIVE, it is an immense pleasure to present my recipe for MANJAR DE PARCHITA, it is a Venezuelan dessert, super cheap, simple, delicious and refreshing, when I talk about economical it is because you can make it with few ingredients ; It does not contain milk, flour or eggs, with only water, passion fruit, sugar and cornstarch (or cornstarch), we can create a delicious dessert to satisfy our late-night cravings. It is also ideal for people intolerant to gluten or lactose.

Another point in favor of this delicious dessert is that we can make it with the fruits of the season, for example, if it is the season of passion fruit, we prepare it from that fruit, if it is orange, then we change it to this rich fruit, and so on, even grapefruit.

Pasemos a los INGREDIENTES que utilicé:
5 PARCHITAS
180 gr MAICENA
200 gr AZUCAR
1 ½ litro de AGUA

Let's move on to the INGREDIENTS I used:
5 PATCHES
180 gr CORN
200 gr SUGAR
1 ½ liter of WATER

PREPARACIÓN:

  • Lavar las parchitas, picarlas y sacar la pulpa.
  • Llevar a la licuadora (darle unos golpecitos en la licuadora para que no queden restos de semillas en el jugoy colar) . Reservar una taza de jugo para disolver la maicena.

PREPARATION:

  • Wash the patches, chop them and remove the pulp.
  • Take it to the blender (tap it on the blender so that no traces of seeds remain in the juice) and strain. Reserve a cup of juice to dissolve the cornstarch.

  • Llevar al fuego el jugo con el azúcar.

  • Bring the juice with the sugar to the fire.

  • Cuando comience a hervir incorporar la maicena moviendo constantemente. Cuando espese, bajar del fuego.

  • When it starts to boil, add the cornstarch, stirring constantly. When it thickens, lower the heat.

  • Colocar en envases individuales de vidrio o en un envase grande para luego servir en porciones.
  • Preferiblemente llevar a la nevera para comerlo frio.

  • Place in individual glass containers or in a large container to later serve in portions.
  • Preferably put in the fridge to eat it cold.
