Grapes in my area are also quite expensive. When growing them yourself in the garden, the weather here is hot, and it will affect the taste of the grapes to be more sour.

Same as here in the Philippines. But we have some towns which have colder weather like Busay or Baguio. I guess on areas like those grapes thrive. They would love the cold weather
