Welcome to another blog post of my An Apple Eats blog series.
I want to share with you guys a place that’s been on my list of food places to visit for a long time now. I’m always reminded to visit this place every time I check my list. So one fine day, I was planned to spend some time in a cafe for some inspiration (and maybe motivation?) and went to go eat a hearty breakfast first. That day while checking my list, I thought it’s the perfect time to go visit the place today.
The place is called Racines Farm To Park that's a few minutes away from Ikebukuro station. They open at 9am and located within Minami-Ikebukuro Park. I arrived at around 9:20 but there’s already a bit of a line going on. The park outside was lively and bustling with families enjoying the cool weather.
Looking from the outside, the place’s vibe inside reminds me of an early summer evening in some cottage with all the light bulbs hanging. That day was a bit cold and I thought - finally a change of season - But the place gives off a warm and cozy feeling.
Their menu would change depending on the time of day. Since it's still morning, they offered breakfast until 11am. Not sure if it's the same time throughout the week. The special morning plate looks so good in the picture but I wasn't feeling the toast so I ordered the classic waffle meal instead. I paired it with their cafe con leche (I couldn't fully understand the note about this drink but I think it's cafe au lait with like natural stuff or something).
This plate had 3 waffles in it, but it was so dry and I didn't enjoy the cheese on it. Should've gone with pancakes but I did enjoy the rest on the plate. The coffee was also good. I always prefer sweet drinks and will put a bit of sugar but this time I enjoyed it as it is. It goes well with the food. I had a hard time finishing the meal but I'm not sure if it's because I'm losing appetite lately or the waffles were too heavy and filling.
I had my meal on the 2nd floor where there are shelves of books lined up in one of the walls (wan't able to take a picture of it). In one area, there's a water bar that's free for everyone.
They also offer bbq courses available for reservation. A night with friends would be good to enjoy bbq. And of course with family as well.
Would love to come back here again soon if I need some good breakfast or just chill.

The place look good, and as I see on the picture, the foods looks yum too. It's sad that the waffle was dry, but at least you enjoy the rest naman.
