Hi! Hello! 👋
Welcome to another blog post of my An Apple Eats blog series.
It's been a long time since my last blog or even comment on other people's blogs. I was just being lazy than usual, and I'm also trying to lessen my social media time. I always find myself wasting time scrolling reels nonstop and then would feel down because I haven't done anything significant or productive for so many hours. But anyway that's not the point of this post.
Recently, I went for a short trip to Sapporo to unwind an escape the heat from Tokyo. Well the weather was crazy over there, some rain one day and then blazing sun the next day. I got sick after lol.
So on our first day, of course, first things first, food. My flight was at 7:45am so I had to catch the first train from home at around 5am to make in time. I only had a bit of time to have oats for breakfast but it wasn't enough. I arrived in Shin-Chitose airport at around 9am but I still had to wait for my other companions so that we can leave together and grab food.
So off we went to the city by bus that took around an hour or so. Soup curry is on of Sapporo's famous dishes. While on the bus, we found some restaurants with that specialty and we decided to have it as our first meal there. Just before we arrived is Sapporo station, we found and decided to go to a place that's 10mins walk from the station. We stored our luggages in a locker and then head on to get that soup curry.
The place is called Curry Savoy. Upon entering, we were greeted by some stairs going down and a couple artworks hanged on the walls. When we reached down, there was another entrance to the place itself. But I was shookt by the drying of cooked potatoes and carrots with an electric fan, guess that's how they prepare their veggies lol.
The place gives off a warm cozy homey vibe. Tables, chairs, shelved, some decorations are mostly made of wood. The smell of curry wafting in the air has made us hungrier. Their vegetable curry and seafood curry were best sellers.
We had to put in our order through a qr code they provided for each seat. Thankful that they had english translations included. I had the chicken curry with the rice set. We were able to choose the spiciness and rice serving portion. I chose just the least spicy option with regular rice as I don't trust my stomach to eat spicy while on a vacation, IYKYK.
It took a while before our order came but I guess it was all worth the wait. The soup was thin and there were vegetables included as well. I was surprised the chicken was bigger than I expected. Well there was a hint of spicy flavor in the soup but not enough to make me sweat lol. The chicken was so tender and easy to eat which I was thankful for. The veggies were flavorful as well, maybe they let the flavor soak into it as well.
I'd definitely go back if I'll ever be in Sapporo again.
Oh BTW! It's HPUD! This is the first time I've ever joined HPUD.
I don't know the best amount I should power up but I just went in with 50 lol. I have so many blogs I plan to write but I am just too lazy, please give me motivation hahaha
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog.
