Heyah foodies!
How are you doing?
It's already October, and we're approaching the end of the year. Rainy days and colder nights were also on the way. As a foodie, my cravings have shifted to something that can warm and comfort my roaring tummy. Living in the south is always difficult for me. There are fewer options for great food, as well as fewer developments when compared to the City.
BUT! Worry no more!
RAMEN SHACK & SUSHI HOUSE | Japan in Minglanilla!
This delicious and reasonably priced ramen shop on Cebu's south side is the famous Ramen Shack. I believe they've been here in Minglanilla since early this year when my boyfriend and I first discovered it. Even the owner recognized my boyfriend, who looks like an "artist" she said. Possibly because he is simply adorable and handsome lol. Kidding aside, this ramen house has long been a favorite of ours, and it's only getting better now that they've relocated to a much more accessible and larger space than their previous location.
How to get there?
This ramen shop is in Minglanilla, near St. Cecilias College, just off the highway and across from the FCT Building (Union Bank). Parking was previously an issue in the old location, but my friend was able to park their car on the side of the resto. I believe there are now 2-3 parking slot. Not bad at all! At the very least, there are parking spaces available across the street in Union Bank haha.
Look at this new ramen house! I liked how it looks right now compared to before. I noticed that there are more seats now and more insta-worthy corners! The wooden tables, chairs, banners, and lights add warmth and contrast to its dark walls. It's like one of those ramen shops I've seen in movies!
We even enjoyed taking insta-worthy pictures while waiting for the food. The men did quick poses and the ladies did a lot lol (100 shots I think? lol)😅
Let's talk about the food!
A lot has changed, but the FOOD is still superb! Not to mention how welcoming the owner and staff are. When we went there recently, we ordered a lot because we invited our friends who are also ramenatics and sushi fans haha! Is there such a thing as a word? But, yes, we did enjoy selecting our favorites and sharing them with the group.
My personal favorite has always been the Tonkotsu Ramen for only 288.00 pesos (4.88 USD), a ramen rich in creamy salt-based soup topped with chashu pork drizzled with black garlic oil and moree! I love how flavorful it is, and I added some chili powder to spice it up a little (sorry spice girls alert lol). We also ordered gyoza, fried dumplings (5 pieces) for 98.00 pesos (1.66 USD), which went perfectly well with everything! We've also included the popular sushi bake for sharing, which costs only 280.00 pesos (4.75 USD). With that alone, I only paid less than 1,000 pesos and even having a hard time finishing everything. All I can is that it's really worth it and I'll definitely be back again!
They have a lot of Japanese food to choose from. You can check their FB page for their menu at Ramen Shack and Sushi House Minglanilla and you can even order it in Grab Food! Isn't it amazing?
Well, we had a great time eating and hanging out with my friends. We're actually talking about marriage and how God provided for their wedding day. My boyfriend and I are getting married next year, and I'm overjoyed to have great friends with whom I can talk about life over hot and delicious ramen. My heart is overflowing.
How about you, foodies? Where is your favorite Japanese restaurant in your neighborhood?
Share it in the comments, and I'd like to try it sometime soon.
That’s all for this week's foodie series! Until my next foodventures!
Stay hungry!
~see you on my next adventure, until then!Paalam!~

Wow! Their menu is cheaper compared to other stores! I've been craving ramen as well. It would be nice to go here but Minglanilla is so far from the city plus the traffic! but perhaps one day!
I agree!!!We are really shocked that its very affordable but also very delicious.

The first time I ate Japanese food last 2019 was at Botejyu where their tonkatsu was the best and then last 2020 was at Tenya Tempura the prawns are giant and my least favorite is maki and this restaurant that I mentioned was located in Festival Mall Alabang. The nearest japanese food in our place is Takoyaken Takoyaki and this is the best takoyaki that I ate.
Wow!That's a lot of Japanese Food in your area😊🥢
Hope to try one day!😊

Love the vibes of the resto!
Now you made me hungry! There are so many yummy things on the table I can't even choose 😂 To answer your question, we don't have any Japanese restaurants in the neighborhood, only Chinese.
