Beef Pepper Rice Butter Recipe

I will spend 2025 in a simple way. I can improve my cooking skills so that I can serve restaurant-style food at home. My wish is that simple. It's not difficult but it has its own reasons. Can you guess what the reasons are?

Frugal. I have financial goals this year, I can't give many answers regarding my financial goals but I will give some ways to save money. One of them is to hone my cooking skills and be consistent. In addition, saving money makes everything more efficient, including being efficient in using food ingredients.

Almost twice a week I go out and eat at a restaurant. If I want to eat meat, I will only eat at one of my favorite restaurants, 'Pepper Lunch'. This restaurant serves different food and is probably one of the restaurants with a unique concept. Their mainstay menu is beef pepper rice which is the most expensive of all the menus.

That is my favorite menu, until finally I realized that I can make it at home easily. Because this food does not require special cooking skills, it is actually very simple if you just know the steps. The ingredients are also not too difficult to get, the most important thing is the quality of the beef used.

Here are the ingredients used:

  • 100 gr sliced ​​beef
  • 20 gr butter
  • Onions
  • 1 bowl of rice
  • 2 tbsp Teriyaki sauce
  • Frozen vegetables
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • Oregano

At the beginning I said that this menu does not use a particular technique, it's just knowing the right time to put in each ingredient.

A little olive oil is put into an iron pan/iron cast, which is suitable for making the aroma feel a little 'smoke', a tool that I think will be very useful in the kitchen. Then saute the onions so that they are not too bitter, giving off an extraordinary aroma.

I set it aside beside the iron pan so that the rice can enter the middle and become the center of my food. The cooked rice is placed and then immediately put in the frozen vegetables that have been soaked in hot water, and the most important thing is the beef slice.

Right on top of the rice, I put 1 tsp butter which is then sprinkled with oregano. The reason is that it will make the plating very beautiful, butter will also give a fatty taste to the rice which makes it very delicious and also fragrant.

Next step and last,

When the beef slice changes color a little, pour teriyaki sauce on top of the beef slice, it will emit quite a lot of smoke. Until finally the sauce is well absorbed by the beef slice, then this food has continued to the next step.
