Local Classic Donuts Recipe

Bread with a hole in the middle is always a concern. Here, if you have a birthday or resign from work, you will be given one to two dozen donuts to celebrate the separation or event. One reason why donuts are a substitute for whole cakes is because they are practical. Donuts are usually served in a box containing 6-12 pieces and make it easy for us to take without having to cut each piece. Simple enough, right?

Not only that, who doesn't like donuts? The sweet taste and soft texture are always possible to miss. Although the number of calories in 1 piece of donut is very large, like eating a plate of lunch and not making you full. According to several sources, donuts have 300-400 calories per piece depending on the topping. The stranger the topping, the higher the calorie count.

The high calories are what make donuts even more delicious, because of the balance of carbohydrates, fat and sweetness from the topping. Donuts shouldn't be that dangerous as long as they are in the right dosage and adjusted to your diet and daily nutrition. But, not to be eaten every day.


The Recipe of Classic Donuts


By the way about donuts, what's your favorite donut topping? Nutella? Oreo? Chocolate or red velvet? There are many types of donut toppings but the one that makes me fall in love the most is the classic donut. From the name alone, you already know what kind of donut I like. Not too strange and various variants, just glazed with powdered sugar.

What? Powdered sugar? Sugar mixed with flour? Oh big no! That's refined sugar, I don't know the right name in the world of pastiseri but this is what I know.

For the recipe itself, I only use ordinary ingredients to make donuts. But I think you'll be curious about the ingredients. Let me tell you..

Ingredients:

• 380 gr high protein flour (I use komachi flour)
• 250 gr milk (I mix it with 50 ml whipped cream)
• 6 gr instant yeast
• 10 gr sugar
• 45 gr butter
• 1 piece egg
• 100 gr refined sugar

Honestly, the classic donut here is really interesting. Usually some bakeries will make it with a mixture of milk and condensed milk, then it will crystallize and coat perfectly on the outside of the donut and it is similar to Krispy Crème. One of my favorite one of classic donuts but here there is no merchant.

Well, usually we mix it in a container that already contains powdered sugar and mix it when we want to eat it or serve it. Mixing it is quite easy, by putting it in a closed container, then mixing it so that the powdered sugar spreads over the entire surface of the donut.
