Mung Beans Porridge with Durian Recipe

Hello foodies!
Been a while since I did not write the recipe in this community. Because a lot of the activities I did and have not had a chance to try a new recipe.
This time I want to share the recipe of a very special dessert, especially for durian lovers!
Who does not know the fruit of the durian, a fruit that has a very characteristic aroma, have texture thorns of the outside and soft on the inside.
This fruit is a fruit native to the Nusantara (Asean), called Durian which means it has thorns (Indonesian: Duri).

I'm very fond of this fruit, but yesterday I bought a durian that is not good, the texture of the meat is a little hard but very sweet. So I made a dessert that very delicious. Usually my Mom made us Mung Bean Porridge with Durian. Because on 15 years ago, our life in difficult (ppor), and the price of durian is very expensive. So my mom, if harvest season and want to enjoy durian, she had to make all get equal portions and in a quantity that much.

How To Cook

Recipes Mung Bean Porridge With Durian.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gr of mung beans
  • 120 ml coconut milk
  • 250 gr palm sugar
  • 4 pandan leaves
  • 50 gr of sugar
  • 2 liters of water
  • 1 ginger
  • Pinch of salt

How to cook mung bean porridge with durian:

  • Wash the mung beans first to remove dirt and discard the green beans that float
  • Soak the green beans for 1-3 hours. Then drain

  • Enter the mung beans into a wok pan, then add 2 liters of water. Boil on medium heat. Wait until the mung beans are broken and soft. Then enter ginger and durian. Cook for 15 minutes.

  • Put the sugar palm that had been surveyed in advance so that the palm sugar dissolves easily. Then stir until smooth. If palm sugar is already dissolved, turn off the heat.

  • Boil the milk on medium heat, add the sugar and pandan leaves. Give a little bit of salt. When it's boiling, remove from heat and set aside.

  • Pour the pureed mung beans into the bowl, then flush with coconut milk.

  • Mung bean porridge with durian ready to serve.

You can enjoing the dessert when warm. However, this food can be served during the cold and give a little ice cube.
The taste of durian add a special flavor on the pureed green beans this.
For you lovers of sweet, perfect dessert is served and used as a snack while relaxing, especially when the weather is scorching and can make the mood better.

Ehhh this is actually the first time that i saw the mixed between mung beans and durian this looks interesting, i should recommend this to my mom so she will make it next time lol
