If you usually hear about chicken salted egg, squid salted egg, noodle salted egg and popcorn salted egg, then you have to hear a new menu. Salted egg tofu. Seriously. I made one of the different menus and it is definitely very memorable for anyone who likes salted egg.
Salted egg is one of the menus with sauce, so basically the main ingredient must match the sauce. The rule in making salted egg is that you must have salted egg. There are 2 ways to make salted egg, usually there is one that is wrapped in brown soil (similar to clay), then given a lot of salt. There is another method, namely by soaking it in salt solution for 2 weeks.
I have salted egg that has been soaked in salt solution, yesterday afternoon I bought it at a shop that specializes in selling eggs. I plan to make salted egg tofu because I really want to eat tofu, for some reason it looks very delicious to eat when coated with salted egg sauce. Do you agree?
Well, here are the ingredients:
- 1 pack of tofu
- 1 salted egg
- Oil for frying
- 100 ml of liquid milk
- Garlic, spring onions, red chilies
- 1 tbsp Butter
How To Cook:
- Usually to make salted egg sauce, we use boiled salted eggs and then use only the egg yolks. But this time I want to use the whole salted egg.
- Cut the tofu into small pieces, then fry in hot oil and also medium heat. If the outside has changed color, then drain from the cooking oil.
- Slice the garlic, spring onions and red chilies. Then saute with butter so the aroma will be very strong.
- The boiled salted egg is then crushed with a fork to get a smooth texture.
- Put it in a wokpan along with the liquid milk. Keep stirring until everything is mixed and thickened.
- Add the tofu and stir until all parts of the tofu are perfectly coated with salted egg sauce.
