Hello, my dear foodie friends!
I hope you are all very well, surrounded by the love of your family and enjoying health and well-being.
Today I'm not bringing you a recipe, and, while checking my blog to see when was the last time I posted here, I just realized that I haven't cooked for you for a month, but I haven't had time to dedicate myself to prepare something delicious to bring you these days.
I'm not here to tell you about a nice meal in a restaurant either. Today I bring you a sweet experience, because a few days ago we tried some churros that we bought as a dessert for after the Father's Day meal.

Espero que todos estén muy bien, rodeados del amor de su familia y gozando de salud y bienestar.
Hoy no les traigo una receta, y, al revisar mi blog para ver cuando fue la última vez que publiqué por aquí, acabo de darme cuenta de que no cocino para ustedes desde hace un mes, pero es que no he tenido tiempo de dedicarme a preparar algo rico para traerles en estos días.
Tampoco les vengo a contar acerca de una rica comida en algún restaurante. Hoy les traigo una experiencia dulce, pues hace unos días probamos unos churros que compramos como postre para después de la comida del Día del Padre.
On Sunday, after pleasing the daddy of the house, we stayed at the mall where we went for a walk. And, as usual, we wanted to have a snack there.
In the distance we saw that they were selling churros and we all thought it would be a delicious option for dessert.
The place is called Delichurros and offers churros filled with different flavors. These churros caught my attention because I had never seen filled churros before, so it would be a new experience.
Among the options they offered were the churro cake, the bowl and the churro bouquet. We chose to try the bowl of churros. This bowl comes with ten churros that can be filled with different sauces: nutella, chocolate, condensed milk, passion fruit, blackberry, strawberry, honey, pineapple, kiwi, among others.
El domingo, después de complacer al papá de la casa, nos quedamos paseando por el centro comercial al que fuimos. Y, como es costumbre quisimos merendar algo por ahí.
A lo lejos vimos que vendían churros y todos pensamos que sería una deliciosa opción como postre.
El lugar se llama Delichurros y ofrece churros rellenos de diferentes sabores. Estos churros me llamaron la atención porque nunca antes había visto churros rellenos, así que sería una experiencia nueva.
Entre las opciones que ofrecían estaba la torta de churros, el bowl y el ramo de churros. Nosotros escogimos probar el bowl de churros. Este envase trae diez churros que se pueden rellenar con las diferentes salsas: nutella, chocolate, leche condensada, maracuyá, mora, fresa, miel, piña, kiwi, entre otras.
The girl who served us very kindly waited for us to choose the sauces to fill the churros. I ate only one and filled it with honey; my husband, daughter and son-in-law ate three each and filled them with condensed milk, passion fruit, arequipe, chocolate and Nutella.
La chica que nos atendió muy amablemente, esperó que escogiéramos las salsas para rellenar los churros. Yo me comí sólo uno y lo rellené con miel; mi esposo, mi hija y mi yerno se comieron tres cada uno y los rellenaron con leche condensada, maracuyá, arequipe, chocolate y Nutella.
They looked delicious! And, also, very pretty organized in a cardboard bowl.
But, I must confess, honestly, they were not as good as they looked. We all agreed that they lacked something special, we didn't know if it was because they were too cold, or because the flour mixture was tasteless.
¡Se veían deliciosos! Y, además, muy bonitos organizados en un bowl de cartón.
Pero, debo confesarles, sinceramente, que no estaban tan buenos como se veían. Todos coincidimos en que les faltaba algo especial, no sabíamos si era porque estaban muy fríos, o porque la mezcla de harina estaba insípida.
However, the one I ate, filled with honey, was not too bad, and it satisfied my desire for a snack.
But, I understand that for those who eat lots and lots of sweets, these churros are not going to like them, even if they are filled with the delicious chocolate or nutella sauces.
Sin embargo, el que me comí, relleno con miel, no estaba tan mal, y satisfizo, medianamente, mi deseo de merendar.
Pero, entiendo que para los que comen mucho, mucho dulce, estos churros no les van a gustar, aunque estén rellenos de las deliciosas salsas de chocolate o nutella.
We all ate the churros, of course, there was nothing left, but one thing was clear to us: these churros are not a dessert we would want to repeat in the future.
The place is nice, the service was good, but our palate was not satisfied, it was not what we expected, because we had high expectations, comparing them with the churros of Churromanía that we ate in Venezuela.
So the experience was not good and we have to look for another place where they sell churros to forget the previous ones.

Todos nos comimos los churros, por supuesto, no quedó nada, pero una cosa nos quedó clara: estos churros no son un postre que queramos repetir en el futuro.
El lugar es bonito, la atención fue buena, pero nuestro paladar quedó inconforme, no era lo que nos esperábamos, pues teníamos altas expectativas, comparándolos con los churros de Churromanía que comíamos en Venezuela.
Así que la experiencia no fue buena y tenemos pendiente buscar otro lugar donde vendan churros para olvidar los anteriores.

Yo soy amante de los churros y solo con ver las fotos me antoje, pero también me decepciono saber que no son tan buenos, definitivamente algunas cosas de Venezuela se quedan con nosotros como el sabor de lo churros de churromania 💜

Cuando estaba en Venezuela también comía en churromania, los rellenos eran diferentes mucho más grandes que los glaseados, sin duda son mucho más ricos calentitos recién hechos que raro que los vendan fríos, ojala consigan unos más ricos en un futuro, saludos

Se ven deliciosos, lastima que no fué así. Sabes que estaba buscando un lugar donde comer churros sabrosos en Medellín y conseguí un lugar y también tienen una gran variedad de toppings.
