I want to tell you that this is my 20th publication🎉 and I am very happy to belong to this community, and to celebrate I want to share this recipe, I must say that it is one of my favorite cakes. The Venezuelan Auyama cake. It is creamy and its flavor is very rich.
Auyama cake is a typical sweet here in Venezuela and auyama is harvested twice a year and towards the third quarter of the year much more is harvested, and we are happy eating cake, hehe! 😋
The key to this cake is to choose a good Auyama, which is ripe. The pumpkins I used are planted and harvested by my dad @wanderlinder and they are wonderful 😊
The ingredients I used are the following.
🎂 Ingredients:
🎃 1 kilo of Auyama (approximate)
🎃 Sugar 1 and a half cup
🎃 Wheat flour 1 cup and a half
🎃 4 eggs
🎃 Butter 1/2 cup
🎃 Powdered milk 1/2 cup or liquid cup
🎃 Vanilla one teaspoon
🎃 Pinch of salt
Previously I put the Auyama to cook without removing the shell and once cooked and rested, I took out the pulp and made a puree. After having done that, preheat the oven to 180°.
🎂 Steps:
1- In a bowl I placed the Auyama puree along with the butter and beat it.
2- I added the sugar, milk, vanilla and salt and continue beating.
3- One by one I added the eggs and beat until well blended.
4- To finish I added the flour little by little and beat until it was well incorporated. Place the mixture in a greased and floured tray and take it to the oven for approximately 1 hour or until when inserting a knife in the center it comes out clean.
📝 Note: the mixture should be thick, but not so thick and you have to take into account the tray where it will be cooked because this cake does not grow as much as others and once it rests it tends to go down a bit.
📝 Note 2: If you eat the cake the next day it is even more delicious 😉
And so my delicious Venezuelan Auyama cake turned out, I hope you like my publication number 20 and you can try this delicious recipe.

Quiero contarles que esta es mi publicación número 20🎉 y estoy muy contenta de pertenecer a esta comunidad, y para festejar quiero compartir esta receta, debo decir que es una de mis tortas favoritas. La torta de Auyama venezolana. Es cremosa y su sabor es muy rico.
La torta de Auyama es un dulce típico acá en Venezuela y la auyama se cosecha dos veces al año y hacia el tercer trimestre del año se cosecha muchísimo más, y somos felices comiendo torta ¡jeje! 😋
La clave de esta torta está en escoger una buena Auyama, que esté madura. Las auyamas que utilicé son sembradas y cosechadas por mi papá @wanderlinder y son una maravilla 😊
Los ingredientes que usé son los siguientes.
🎂 Ingredientes:
🎃 1 k de Auyama (aproximado)
🎃 Azúcar 1 taza y media
🎃 Harina de trigo 1 taza y media
🎃 4 huevos
🎃 Mantequilla 1/2 taza
🎃 Leche en polvo 1/2 taza o una taza líquida
🎃 Vainilla una cucharadita
🎃 Pizca de sal
Previamente coloqué a cocinar la Auyama sin quitarle la concha y una vez cocida y reposada, le saqué la pulpa e hice un puré. Luego de haber realizado eso precalente el horno a 180°.
🎂 Pasos:
1- En un bowl coloqué el puré de Auyama junto con la mantequilla y lo batí.
2- Agregué el azúcar, la leche, la vainilla y la sal y continúe batiendo.
3- De uno en uno fui agregando los huevos y batí hasta mezclarlos bien.
4- Para finalizar fui agregando de a poco la harina y batí hasta incorporarla bien. Coloque la mezcla en una bandeja engrasada y enarinada y la lleve al horno por 1 hora aproximadamente o hasta que al introducir un cuchillo en el centro este salga limpio.
📝 Nota: la mezcla debe quedar espesa pero, no tanto y hay que tomar en cuenta la bandeja donde se cocinará porque esta torta no crece tanto como otras y una vez reposada tiende a bajar un poco.
📝 Nota 2: Si comes la torta al día siguiente es aún más deliciosa 😉
