Oh, this was a pretty nice delivery that arrived a couple of days ago!!! Nominally, it is actually supposed to be for the kids... As their Christmas present from us, but I also love sweets and so I'm also pretty excited for it!

Now, a little bit of background.... My kids grew up in the Netherlands, and they loved the marshmallows over there... The right sort of squishiness and not completely coated in powdery fluff like the ones in Australia. They hate the Australian ones with a vengeance,, and so, when we have guests coming from Netherlands and they ask what we would like them to bring, well... Generally, we will ask them to bring a few bags of spekjes!

But over the last year, my older daughter found out about the gourmet marshmallows from the Marshmallow Company. And we decided that it would be a great present... And there were sooooo many flavours to choose from. In the end, too many to actually choose.... So, we got the Best Sellers package, and the Mystery package, and then the Fairy Bread one to make up the free shipping.

... And now that they have arrived and we are starting to chew through the flavours... Well, wow... These are really awesome marshmallows... Just the right amount of squishiness and also, most importantly, not crazily sweet either! Yum!!!!

Also, in the post Christmas sales, I finally decided that it was high time to replace our burnt oven mitts that we have had for nearly a decade. Too many little holes in them now... And I've already burnt myself a few times recently, nothing bad... But I'm not particularly keen to keep testing out my luck!

So, two sets of these awesome Kitchen Aid oven mitts... Big ones, and think and heat resistant! The other is a nice light blue sort of aqua colour... I'd like to have them both out, but my wife doesn't like the clash of colours....

And finally... Our oldest daughter has started to really get into cooking and baking. She's made some pretty awesome things already... But she made this pretty nice sponge cake with strawberry and raspberry filling and buttercream icing... Pretty hefty and filing and rich, but super tasty!!!

Blank space...

The aesthetics in the icing is everything 😂😂😂

What a yummy and delicious shopping 😍

I'm guessing she is also a Taylor Swift fan? Blank Space is one of my favorite songs of hers. Kitchen Aid makes some good stuff. I'm still working on getting all the sweets out of our house from the holidays. I don't like them sitting around, they are too tempting!
