Good morning every one. I hope that you all are having a great week end. Today I'm gonna share to you on how to cook this famous dish in the Philippines that we called "tinunu-ang mongoes". The main ingredient that we are using in this dish is mung beans and coconut extract.
First thing you have to do is to wash your mung beans and put it in a boiling water until in became tender and crashed into pieces.
You are gonna know that it is already crushed and ready to be sauted when color changed and become darker like this.
And then prepare your spices like your sliced onion and garlic to be sauted. It is best if you had ginger in it but we do not have one in the shop. It will add flavor into it.
And then saute also the meat of your choice to be put in your dish. What I choose is some pre sliced chicken breast.
Then once the meat is already cooked you can now put back the cooked mung beans that you set a side.
Then you need to prepare also your fresh coconut extract. To extract its juice you need to have you old coconut flesh ground using a grinder and then put it in a small amout of water and squize it. You will use this to serve as the soup of you mung beans.
Once you already mixed your coconut extract you will notice a slight change in color of the soup. It will also make it creamier.
Final step it to add you salt and pepper into it to taste. I also added some knor cubes on mine and that is it guys. You are done.
Time to serve and eat it with your friends and family.
