Yesterday, we had a little drink with my friends so earlier this morning I still have a little hang over so what I did is I bought some 'saang" or spider shells to my friend. Conch shells, known as saang, are usually sold from street stalls in Cebu. Lambis scorpius is the scientific name for these gastropods, which are also known as "spider shells" or "scorpion conches" in English. Do not confuse the saang with the kinason, which are smaller shells with edible meat. Saang are more meaty.
I bought it for 16 PHP a piece. It is way more cheaper if you bought it direct to him.
I didn't put too many ingredients it. What I did is just put some water, malunggay leaves, lemon grass and then salt and pepper to taste. That's it, the more simple the ingredients, the more you can taste the true flavor of saang.
I ate it with my favorites carbs which is ground corn. The soup is amazing and also its meat. After eating I instantly felt better and its like my hang over is already gone.
