Good evening everyone. Happy Tuesday to all. We just finished having our dinner and Im gonna share to you what we have for dinner today. This dish is famous the Philippines specifically in the province since all of the ingredients for this dish can be picked fresh from household's backyard.
We call this dish as "utan bisaya" which is basically boiled veggies. We decided to cook one since we have been eating some unhealthy foods this past days.
All you need to have for this dish are veggies like squash, eggplant, malunggay leaves, sweet potato leaves, ginger and onion. You need to make sure that the ingredients that you are going to use for this is fresh just like what you can see in the next photo.
Okay, let us start cooking. First thing is first, put the sliced squash, eggplant, onions and ginger. Put water into it enough for the ingredients to be soaked. Cover it and let it boil until the veggies tenderized.
Once tenderized, you can now add the green leaves veggies into it and mixed them all together. You need to wait until the leaves are soaked then you can now at salt pepper into it for flavoring depending on your taste.
Just cover it for a while and let green leaves that you put cooked and the that is it. If you think about it, all of this ingredients can br just picked on you own backyard or you can but if for a very cheap price and that is the reason on why this is a go to dish for Filipinos if the want to have a healthy meal. You can also partner it with dried fish for a perfect "utan bisaya" experience.
