This week the preperations for the holidays and christmas start and my grocery lists are almost done. This was already in our kart last week and i promised that in the holiday we would make it. But Holland is in strickt lockdown since yesterday so we decided to make the gingerbread hive house today.
You need gewichtige and powered suger to make the glacé to glue the candy with. D was using the kitchen aid himself and the white glue was great to work with after about ten minutes.
We bought a lot of candy to make the house and have fun. Ofcourse its allowed to eat while building. And that we did for sure.
We used a box with all that we needed inside, I hear you can also make it from scratch but this was easier I thought.

hahhahahah ofcourse thats perfect dear.
Ofcourse am I the one who can clean up after because they wanted to play, and thats fine, i had fun while they were building and the result is great!

We have a family tradition of doing Gingerbread houses as well.
My oldest son and his wife are coming home for Christmas and asked if we would be making them. My wife is so excited to include our daughter-in-law in this family tradition now.
Oh this is so great to do and yes we have this tradition aswell , but more for fun and candy eating
