Nothing beats the excitement we feel whenever we plan to spend a day on a travel, food discovery, or shopping haul. These are the usual things we do that make us say, "OMG! It's happening today". That is exactly what a colleague from work and I felt when we planned to try one of the city's restaurants that serves seafood as the main course.
She is a human resource associate, while I am an accountant at the company. We mostly work together on Payroll and Mandates. Let me tell you, sometimes, we both feel the stress and frustration from workloads and deadlines.
So recently, we planned to treat ourselves. We love coffee and seafood, and it's finally time to dine and discover restaurants together. In this blog, I will share our experience at Crabs N' Crack Seafood House and our honest review.
We touched down in the city around 10:00 AM, and it was not time for lunch. First, we checked out some thrift stores that sell secondhand clothing and shops that offer overrun products. It was an exhausting shopping haul that took about two hours. Then, we had already walked through where we would be having our lunch. It took us only about 10 minutes of walking before we got there.
We looked for a spot where we could eat comfortably, and we were assisted right away by one of the staff. There were already customers inside. Since it was our first time eating here, we asked the staff who took our order for their best-selling seafood platter.
We had their best-selling platter of Crabs dipped in Cajun Sauce. Instead of getting iced tea for drinks, we paid an extra fee to upgrade it to a soda (Coca-Cola). We were after the satisfying burp at the end of the feast, that is why.
We waited about 20 minutes before our orders were served on our table. Our tummies were growing while waiting, but patience is a virtue. When the platter was served with the side dishes, we could no longer stop ourselves.
Before eating, I just took a quick picture of what we were having. We already had our gloves on when I thought of getting a picture of us together with the food on our table—that's how excited we were to eat.
The cracking of crabs and peeling off of shrimps continued for more than an hour. In the middle of eating, we also decided to remove our plastic gloves and eat using our bare hands. That was the best thing we did! We enjoyed the seafood better.
Everything on our table tasted great. Aside from the delicious seafood platter, we also enjoyed the side dishes and the extra sauces they gave. Overall, the Cajun Sauce flavor proved why it is their best-seller. The price was expensive, but it was worth it for us.
Here, I'll show you how I looked after eating. The smile shows how much I enjoyed the dining experience and the food, of course. We got out of the restaurant with a big smile and a full tummy. We'll return here, maybe together or with our families and friends. It means we'll recommend the restaurant to everyone who wants to satisfy their cravings for seafood.
